NEW DELHI, India—During the trial of a case pertaining to the 1984 Sikh genocide in Patiala House Court today, an eye witness Cham Kaur identified Sajjan Kumar for instigating the fanatic Hindu mobs to kill innocent Sikhs during the 1984 Sikh genocide.

Cham Kaur told the Court that she saw Sajjan Kumar telling a mob in Sultanpuri area that Sikhs have killed “our mother”. “On October 31, 1984, we were watching the demise of Indira Gandhi on TV. On November 1, 1984, when I stepped out to look for my goat, I saw Sajjan Kumar telling the crowd: “Sikhs killed our mother. Kill them,” she told the district judge Poonam A Bamba.
My son, Kapoor Singh, and my father, Sardar jit Singh, were pulled out of their hiding place on the second floor, beaten badly and thrown off the roof,” she said, adding that she was also injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the Court has deferred next hearing of the case onto November 20. Witness Cham Kaur will be questioned about his statement during the next hearing.
