Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s Portrait Installed in Qila Bala Hisaar of Peshawar

13 Mar 2019 07:53 AM PDTPESHAWAR, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—The Inspector General Frontier Corps K.P (North Region) of Pakistan has permanently installed the portrait of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the Qila Bala Hisaar situated in Peshawar. Beside it, the Sikhs residing in Pakistan have also been permitted to mark the death anniversary of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

Sharing the development with media, Baba Gurpal Singh informed that the Pakistani army and the FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas) authorities have given permission to permanently install the portraits of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh and General Hari Singh Nalwa in the Qila Bala Hisaar, Qila Jamraud, Qila Shabqadar and Qila Bada. 
He further informed that the death anniversary of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh will be observed this year in Qila Bala Hisaar on June 27 in which the Raagi Jathas and students of Bhai Joga Singh Religious School will perform Gurbani Kirtan for two hours.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the Pakistani army has opened the Qila Bala Hisaar for common people. Now the common citizens can visit this historic fort on Saturday and Sunday.
