AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab (October 7, 2015)—Head of a Damdami Taksal faction, Jathedar Amrik Singh Ajnala has stated that appointed Takht Jatherdar will not be allowed to step onto the stage during the annual congregation at Bir Baba Budha Ji in Jhabal. Bhai Ajnala lashed out at the Jathedars for forgiving the Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim while delivering his challenge to oppose them.
Condemning the move to pardoning Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Bhai Ajnala told Sikh24 that the Jathedars have rumbled the dignity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. “Sikh religion is known for its orotund tone against anti-humanity activities. But by granting pardon to a rapist and a murderer Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Takht Jathedars have rumbled the Sikh image worldwide,” he added.
He appealed the Sikh masses to fully boycott the appointed Jathedars and oppose them on every front.
Earlier today, a Jatha from Damdami Taksal (Ajnala) also burnt an effigy of Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh in Jhabal.
