There is Amrit sar within you!
Perhaps you all know that Guru Ramdas founded Ramdas Sarovar and Ramdas Nagar, later Guru Arjun built Sri Darbar Sahib in the centre of Ramdas Sarovar and transformed into ‘Amrit sar’ the new name of Ramdas Sarovar and there by the name of the city. The meaning ‘Atmak Prabh Naam’ that already exists in each human being as Hymns of Baba Nanak, Guru Amardas and Guru Ramdas revealed several times in their Banee, including Bhagat Namdev, (693).
ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਮਨੁ ਪੀਵੈ ਭਾਇ ਸੁਭਾਈ ਹੇ ॥
Guru Amardas: Kaa-i-aa andar amrit sar saachaa man peevai bhaa-ay subhaa-ee hay. (GGS: 1046)
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਦਾ ਚਸ਼ਮਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਬੜੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ (ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ) ਪੀਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ੀ
Deep within the body is the true pool of Ambrosial Nectar; Let the mind engross and drink it with loving devotion. Further Guru Ramdas said on page 305:
ਮਃ ੪ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਜੋ ਸਿਖੁ ਅਖਾਏ ਸੁ ਭਲਕੇ ਉਠਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥
ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰੇ ਭਲਕੇ ਪਰਭਾਤੀ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਕਰੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਰਿ ਨਾਵੈ ॥
Gur satgur kaa jo sikh akhaa-ay so bhalkay uth har naam Dhi-aavai. Udam karay bhalkay parbhaatee isnaan karay amrit sar naavai. One who calls himself a Sikh of the Guru, the True Guru, shall wake up early morning and meditate on the Lord's Name. Immediately after his morning bath, he cleanses himself in the pool of naam – nectar (Amrit sar - 305).
According to Prof. Sahib Singh (Darpan) as explained in Punjabi:
ਅਰਥ:- ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ (ਸੱਚਾ) ਸਿੱਖ ਅਖਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ) ਉਹ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪ) ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚ ਟੁੱਭੀ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ [
Baba Amardas has clearly explained on page 587 in one of His Shabad.
ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੀਰਥੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਹੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਬੁਝਾਇ ॥
ਮੈਲੁ ਗਈ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਰਿ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਇ ॥
ਸਜਣ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਜਣਾ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥
ਘਰ ਹੀ ਪਰਚਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
ਪਾਖੰਡਿ ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ਨ ਛੋਡਈ ਲੈ ਜਾਸੀ ਪਤਿ ਗਵਾਇ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੇ ਉਬਰੇ ਸਚੇ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੨॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 587}
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਸਦਾ ਸੁੱਖ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਉੱਕਾ ਹੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਗਿਆਨ-ਰੂਪ ਤੀਰਥ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤੀਰਥ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ- ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਤੀਰਥ ਤੇ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਤੇ ਹੀ ਸਤਸੰਗੀ ਸਤਸੰਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਤਸੰਗ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ, ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਰੂਪ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਸਿਮਰਨ ਰੂਪ ਆਹਰ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ, ਪਖੰਡ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸਹਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਦਾ, ਪਖੰਡ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ ਮੌਤ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਤੁਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਸਹਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।2।
Guru Amardas: Serving the True Guru, one finds a lasting peace; the pains of birth and death are removed. He is not troubled by anxiety, and the carefree Lord comes to dwell in the mind. Deep within himself, is the sacred shrine of spiritual wisdom, revealed by the True Guru. His filth is removed, and his soul becomes immaculately pure, bathing in the sacred shrine, the pool of Ambrosial Nectar. The friend meets with the True Friend, the Lord, through the love of the Shabad. Within the home of his own being, He finds the Divine Self, and his light blends with the Light. The Messenger of Death does not leave the hypocrite; he is led away in dishonor. O Nanak, those who are imbued with the Naam are saved; they are in love with the True Lord. (587)
