Celebration and Obserbing Important Historical dates by Sikhs in Ottawa and Canada. LEST WE FORGET.

Please note that the following Sikh Panth's Historical days were Celebrated and or Observed in January,February,2017  where Akhandpath, Kirtan and Sehej Paths were recited by Ottawa Sikh Sangat
!) Parkash Day Sahib-E-Kamal Sahib Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji on 5th January,2017 at WSO premises in Sikh National Archives Of Canada, 1181-Cecil Avenue,Ottawa.
Akhandpath was recited with Bhog on 5th January/17
2) On 11 February,2017 -Saturday : Sehej Path Bhog & Kirtan was performed to celebrate Birth Anniversary of Great Sikh Leader Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale..
3) On 25 February,2017 - Sehej Path Bhog & Gurbani Kirtan will be performed on 25 February,2017 (Saturday) 6 --10 PM. at WSO building and Sikh National Archives.
Note: During the year 2016 Akhahand Paths & Kirtan were performed on all major Gurpurab dates. These Panthic programs were held regularly each year for the past 16 years
In addition The Ottawa Sikh Sangat participate to Commemorate SAKA AKAL TAKHAT SAHIB,1984 in the first week of June each year Since 1985. These programs are arranged by WSO
in collaboration with Sikh Archives, at the Canadian Parliament in which many of the Parliamentarians, City Counselors, Ambassadors from various Embassies in Ottawa, representatives from
all the Ethnic Association and organizations participate to Commemorate Saka Akal Takhat Sahib 1984 and Remembrance of thousands of Singh Shaheeds.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS YEAR''S REMEMBRANCE Of SAKA AKAL TAKHAT SAHIB 1984 WILL BE HELD ON 31st MAY,1984 AT GOVERNMENT CONVENTION CENTRE ( on Wellington St in front of West Block of Canadian Parliament). Each year more than 100 Sikhs from Toronto,Montreal,Vancouver,Calgary,Edmonton also participate in these events.All are invited to take part in this important remembrances forever. Beginning in Ottawa  these June Commemorative Event is observed in Toronto, Calgary,Edmonton and Vancouver each year since 1984.
