AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab (October 9, 2015)—The 23rd martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda and Shaheed Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sukha was observed by the Sikh sangat at Bhai Jinda’s native village Gadli in Jandiala Guru constituency. A large Panthik gathering was witnessed throughout the program. The stage was started following religious discourses by eminent and noted ragi jathas.
Vice President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Bhai Dhian Singh Mand said that Bhai Jinda and Bhai Sukha sacrificed their lives for the establishment of Sikh sovereignty. He said that our true tribute to these martyrs will be initiation of efforts for the establishment of Sikh nation.
Addressing the devotees on this occasion, Bhai Kulbir Singh Barapind (Akali Dal Panch Pardhani) said that the Sikh nation owes a lot to the sacrifices made by Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda and Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sukha. He further accused ruling Akali Dal and the Punjab Chief Minister for cheating with the Sikh sentiments and going against his Dharam Yudh Morcha promises.
The program ended with a small speech by Bhai Jinda’s sister Bibi Balwinder Kaur who thanked the Sikh sangat for attending martyrdom anniversary. Leaders of all Panthik bodies were present on this occasion.
