1. HYDERABAD: When farmers from across the country reached Delhi to protest in November last year, those from Telangana were missing. Was it possible that while farm distress had gripped an entire nation, Telangana was immune to the problem?
2. Next month, in December, BJP lost the assembly elections in three heartland states, booted out by angry farmers. But in Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao returned for a second term, winning a landslide.
3. So what was it that KCR had got right? At the heart of it all is KCR’s Rythu Bandhu scheme — India’s first direct benefit transfer (DBT) scheme for farmers. Launched in 2018, it benefited over 57 lakh farmers.

*Rythu Bandhu scheme also Farmers’ Investment Support Scheme (FISS) is a welfare program to support farmer’s investment for two crops a year by the Government of Telangana. The government is providing 58.33 lakh farmers, ₹4000 per acre per season to support the farm investment, twice a year, for rabi and kharif seasons. As already said in the context of Telangana, ‘People’s ahead of all fronts, thus being seen as each individual state’s democracy, can be separately ahead anytime of all fronts like NDA, UPA etc in India and that’s to be the true and mature democracy expected and possible within India’.
The Chiefs of the regional parties are already working in the direction honestly. It is prayed that God may bless success to all for the peace, security, liberty and prosperity of all within India.
