Waheguru jee ka Khalsa Waheguru jee kee Fateh
All the Sikh Magazine Editors and various Website Moderators have been doing a great service but without any success. Sometimes their efforts are like blind persons describing an elephant !
After clicking the site below, I have read some Articles (not all because Font is toosmall).
Mainly I will share my comments in respect of two items only:
(A) EX-COMMUNIATION: Have a look at HukamNama dated 5-12-1988 listing punishment against Surjit Singh Barnala signed by:
1) Prof. Darshan Singh as Jathedar Sri Akall Takht Sahib, Sri Amritsar;
2) Mohan Singh Head Granthi Sri Darbaar Sahib, Sri Amritsar;
3) Kewal Singh Head Granthi Sri Akall Takht Sahib, Sri Amritsar;
4) Jagir Singh Poohla Jathedar Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo;
5) Balbir Singh Jathedar Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib
[One of the punishment was to recite Chaupayee sahib twice, which is mentioned in Chritropakhayan, the main part of the so called Dasam Granth ?]
HukamNama against Prof. Darshan Singh on 29 January 2010 as signed by:
1. Gurbachan Singh, Jathedar, Sri Akall Takht Sahib, Sri Amritsar;
2. Iqbal Singh, Jathedar Takht Sri Harmandir jee, Patna Sahib (Bihar);
3. Tarlochan Singh Jathedar Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib;
4. Balwant Singh Jathedar Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo (Bathinda);
5. Jatinder Singh, Meete Jathedar Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazoor Sahib, Nanded (Maharashtra)
When Bhai Gurbakksh Singh Kala Afghana and Spokesman Editor Joginder Singh were ex-communicated, then Prof. Darshan Singh neither showed any sympathy nor cooperated with them whereas now he has started seeking their cooperation?
Since he has acted Jathedar of Sri Akall Takht twice, he can’t challenge its Authority now, though it is based on banned book: Gur Bilas Patshahi 6 written by some anonymous Writer? Gurbani does not support such concept because God pervades everywhere !
(B) NANAKSHAHI CALENDAR: Both the versions whether prepared by S. Pal Singh Purewal (Canada) or amended by the Head Ministers are based on Bikrami/Saka Calendars commencing from CHET / CHAITRA, the Hindus’ First Month based on Lunar System. But the Sikhs are pleased to copy them so that they continue to celebrate Sangrands, which is good for goluck collection and Bheta for Bhais, Raagis, Kathakaars every month? As otherwise, they have failed to determine the Actual Date of Guru Nanak Sahib’s Birth Day whether on 27 March, 14 April, 15 April or 20 October 1469? Deliberately both the Parties wish to remain silent on this main issue because if they select and agree for one Date out of above four dates, then their castle will collapse, having no basis to celebrate Sangrands i.e. why they wish to remain cling to Desi Months ?
When I sent my views to Website Khalsa News, they did not publish though S. Bakhshish Singh knows me because it contracts the stand taken by Prof. jee. They even don’t respond !
Such Duality has led us nowhere especially when we don’t follow Gurbani in Guru Granth Sahib.
