Madame Arundhati. Roy is telling exactly as M.K.Gandhi really was " A RACIST" . From an extensive and authentic literature on Gandhi by honest writers M.K.Gandhi was  not only An Aweful Old Hypocrite but also a Racist, Religious Fanatic and mentally sick person.
He was used by the British rulers to preach the rant of Shanti, Shanti to the Indian masses to pacify them, who were making noise about Independence. Gandhi did that job in excellent manner to delay
Independence and extend the British Rule until after the World War II was finished. British had to quit its colonies because Mr. Churchill promised the US president to dismantle colonies as a condition send forces to fight Hitler and Japan. US wanted to extend its influence in colonies only if British dismantle colonies. Secondly, Nehru was a very close associate of MK Gandhi. In 1950 when Rt.Hon.Lester Pearson-PM of Canada was talking to Nehru and asked him, "What he thinks about M.K.Gandhi?" L.B.Pearson was surprised to hear the response when Mr.JL Nehru replied ,
" Gandhi was an Awful old Hypocrite .........."

Thirdly, Gandhi preached Non Violence and Shanti to others, but he declared that "GITA (Scripture of Krishna)  as his Mother, knowing well that GITA was recited in the Battlefield between Pandava & Kaurvas (Hindus call it Maha Bharat War) where millions died. "Gita" was claimed by Gandhi as his mother -The very Scripture that instructed Arjuna to kill his own Kith and Kin to win the war. Its a strange combination  of message of "Shanti" in a War ! Still further when I read "Naked Gandhi by Adam" it states that MK Gandhi used to Sleep Naked in his AHRAM with his young nieces just to prove his Chastity, as of thee was no other method of proving Chastity. I can go on and on but why waste precious space on the Facebook. There are volumes written on Gandhi. He
practiced CASTE APARTHEID just as the British had a flourishing SLAVE TRADE OF BLACK AFRICANS in America.
