Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi: 19 November 1917- 31 October 1984)
Mrs Gandhi, the Prime Minister of India, had been receiving death threats since the *Army Attack (Operation Blue Star) on Sri Akal Takhat, Durbar Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar and other religious places in Punjab. Indira Gandhi had been killed by the two Sikh guards, Satwant Singh and Beant Singh at her home, who were then shot by other security officers and Beant Singh was killed on the spot, in retaliation for the *Army Attack in June 1984.
The attack, in so named independent India, caused untold unbearable sufferings of the Sikhs in a fraudulent way i.e. “Protecting the religion or the politics of religion” only to teach a lesson to them in all respects in face of cheaters within and outside the Sikh community.
On 6 January 1989, Satwant Singh and Kehar Singh were hanged for killing Mrs Gandhi. Balbir Singh was acquitted.
Rajiv Gandhi: 20 August 1944 – 21 May 1991
Rajiv Gandhi, the elder son of  Indira Gandhi  and Feroze Gandhi, was the 9th Prime Minister of India (and the third from theNehru-Gandhi family) after the assassination of his mother in 1984.
Riots erupted across India following the murder of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, as Hindus took their revenge from Sikhs who were blamed for the assassination and there was Killing of 3000 Sikhs in Delhi by Goondas of Rajiv Gandhi in 1984. The then Prime Minister Rajiv justified the Sikh carnage Gandhi by making a statement "When a big tree falls, the earth is bound to shake"
“Khoon Ka Badla Khoon Se Lenge”
was the order of day. On the DD, all and any could easily hear these shouts, inciting (or imploring) those day’s Congress Men/Women/Babas and Babes.
“Identifying Sikhs and killing them started, from AIIMS in Delhi where body of Indira was kept.
By late evening of 31st, Massacre started and spread fast to all Delhi and then to other parts as well, as far as North East.
Invariably, ‘modus-operandi’ was same all over the places. Sikhs; dragged out from their houses by ‘Congress Goons’, poured petrol/kerosene on them and set on fire. Burning Tires; slipped on their heads. Sikh’s shops/houses looted and then burnt.
Over 3000, (some quote as high as 5000+) Sikhs killed in three days.
Just have a look at who ‘all’ were in power, then.

 His years as Prime Minister also saw the emergence of the Bharatiya Janata Party, a major right-wing party, as an alternative to the Indian National Congress which had been governing India for most of its post-independence history.

    Yes I fully agree with Sdr Gurmit Singh's comments re jurisdiction of SGPC.
    Puratan Sikhs practices and way of Sikhi Life has been going on from the time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj till present date and more so preserved in the Sikh Diaspora outside India.
    Our forefathers had left India in the late 1700s for serving with the British police and army in far off Commonwealth Colonies like Malacca,Singapore, Penang ,Christmas Island and many other Pacific Islands, Australia ,South Africa Kenya etc not forgetting UK,Canada USA. Where ever they went they always had Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj (SGGS)with them and they were also exclusively Amritdhari Sikhs .
 Yes each and everyone of them had to be Amritdhari and of a certain height and stature before being selected to be in British Sikh Regiment and/or British Sikh Police Forces. The Sergeant Major used to be the Granthi and the highest ranking commissioned Sikh officer was their President and that was the foundation stone for Sikh Police Gurdwaras in these British colonies. Yes the British were instrumental in keeping Sikhi alive in these places because they even had a Police Penal Act for the keeping of the 5 Ks by the Sikhs.
 Any Sikh officer not following this Act was liable for disciplinary action usually in the form of Fines and/or extra guard duties. Yes the British knew the value of Amrit and they used it to basically rule almost the whole world as the famous saying goes "the sun never sits on the British Empire" and the Frontline troops and Police Force of the British were the distinctive Amritdhari Sikhs. Yes Sikhi was very much alive those days .
    Even the Punjabi language in these overseas places is original Puratan Punjabi and not the Hindi-Punjabi spoken these days in India. So yes Sikhi practices are also Puratan and not influenced with Hindu practices as in India today.
 Sadly because of the sheer population numbers of the present day migrants from India  to these foreign countries that Puratan Sikhi is being slowly wiped out and hence the sad and confused state -of-the-nation we Sikhs are in at the present moment in our history. It has almost become fashion now that every other day a so called new Sikh Scholar comes out of the woodwork to basically shoot down our Sikh values, beliefs and practices .
 Where do they get their facts from?
 All they are doing is simply interpreting SGGS Ji towards their hidden agenda ie cause confusion and hence break up the unity of the Sikhs because they very well know if ever the Sikhs become United then like during the British time they can rule the world .
    Why should we forget our History and our Puratan Sikh beliefs and philosophies and teachings and day to day practices of our forefathers and ancestors that has been going on for the last 300 yrs or so ?
    I belief that anyone who is causing rifts and divisions among the Sikhs should be chastised and discarded by the Sikh Diaspora .
