Indo-Pak War 1965 Was Draw And War 1971 Was Compromise?

1.      “Asked who had won the 1965 India-Pakistan war, Capt Amarinder Singh said, “It was more or less a draw. We had no ammo left and if it continued any longer, we’d be fighting each other with stones.
2.      As to what Balbir Singh Sooch heard, seen and observed, ‘Air Chief Marshal Pratap Chandra Lal (P C LAL) (6 December 1916 – August 1982) was the Chief of Air Staff (India) of the Indian Air Force during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, then was briefing where AOC-in-C WAC was Air Marshal or Air Vice Marshal - Engineer in 1971 (so far as I recollect) was present, and said, “We have no fighters (meaning thereby Fighter Aircrafts) to fly now”? It was the situation or position on 14th day of war-1971 and the war ended the same day, but we won the war???
3.      Indo-Pak Wars 1965 and 1971 Were Draw and Compromise Respectively.
4.      War 1965 was not “a decisive victory” but draw as  is the official history, commissioned by the ministry of defence and presented with a foreword by then defence secretary NN Vohra — and now available on Bharat Rakshak.com — correct in calling the war “a draw”?
5.      The official history is categorical in its Judgement: “In military terms the contest was a draw” (introduction page xxv). It also states that the war “showed up the Pakistani as well as the Indian armed forces in definitely poor light. There was lack of professional competence and good generalship on either side … the performance of the Indian armed forces was equally if not more unimpressive.” HT
6.      Is the official history right? Captain Amarinder Singh, who in 1965 was ADC to the Western Army Commander and, therefore, had a ringside view of the war, believes it is. In his judgement, it was a draw with India holding the upper hand.
7.      “India would have won a decisive victory if the war had continued much longer in Indo-Pak War 1965” is wrong and incorrect in the context of Indo-Pak War 1971 as Balbir Singh Sooch heard, seen and observed while standing on guard duty then closely in front the main planning and briefing war room at ‘The Western Air Command (WAC), is the regional command of Indian Air Force headquartered in New Delhi.  It is the largest and most important Air Command of the IAF, comprising sixteen Air Force Bases (AFBs), and is responsible for aerial defence of North India.

10.  Was it compromise or we won the war? The author of this note nothing further more to elaborate purely on imagination?
11.  The author of this note shall be failing in duty if he does not mention the kindness and bravery of then AOC-in-C WAC was Air Marshal or Air Vice Marshal – Engineer, who instructed to his airmen on guard duty that first check all the officers thoroughly security point of view, the only honour them with butt salute not with general salute (A salute is a gesture or other action used to display respect. Salutes are primarily associated with armed forces,) at all.
12.  The AOC-in-C WAC was Air Marshal or Air Vice Marshal – Engineer was going for bombardment of his own flouting the standing rules and instructions of war of Indian Air Force as was then the talk of the day, that’s heard.
13.  The AOC-in-C WAC was Air Marshal or Air Vice Marshal – Engineer seems unsung-Not praised or honoured ; ‘not given the praise or honor that is due’ like our PM Lal Bahadur Shastri  2 October 1904 – 11 January 1966) was the 2nd Prime Minister of the Republic of India and a leader of the Indian National Congress party. Lal Bahadur Shastri led the country during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1965. His slogan of "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan".  Who does bother about his slogan of "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” today?
14.  “Henderson Brooks report being kept under wraps to save political skin, says Punjab CM: Amarinder added that the fault of “precipitating” the war lay with India. “Yes, it was our fault. 15.   But the author note, his wife Surinder Kaur and  his yonger daughter, Kamaljeet Kaur feel  privileged for getting a chance to touch the feet of Smt. Lalita Devi widow  Lal Bahadur Shastri  at her residence and  she blessed all of us and could also glance  and enter the very small size reading room of great Lal Bahadur Shastri.

17.  The chief minister denied any politicisation in the armed forces but declined comment on political interference.
18.  Like most participants at the session, Capt Singh agreed that unlike the past, today’s youth were not drawn to a career in the armed forces. “It is a concern that many don’t want to join the forces and we need to find out why,” he said.

21.  Both India and Pakistan have no capacity for wars against each other, hence as observed and already stated, ‘Indo-Pak War 1965 Was Draw And War 1971 Was Compromise’, nothing more than this as ‘There is no clear winner or loser’ so far.
