*Congress flays Badals on ‘Udta Punjab’ issue*

Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, the vice-chairman of campaign committee Punjab Congress, today flayed Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal for creating hurdles before the release of movie ‘Udta Punjab’.
“The Badals have been lobbying hard to prevent the release of the film which, if released, would expose the poor face of the Akalis involved in selling drugs. The Akalis have been backing drug smugglers due to which
they are against the movie” said Dharamsot, who was at the residence of Punjab pradesh Congress committee secretary, Yashpal Dhiman, to meet party workers ahead of the dharna in which AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi will take part.
Dharamsot said law and order in the state had been deteriorating day by day. Each day, heinous crimes are being reported in the state, but the Punjab police had failed to check the same. “If the Akalis continue to back
the gangsters and drug smugglers, residents will suffer more in the coming days”, he alleged.
He said the time had come when Punjab residents should wipe out the Akalis from power so that peaceful days could prevail once again in the state.”
