The saying goes, “those who live in glass houses do not throw stones at the others”
But with regard to Khalistan, this is exactly what we see happening. Those who condemn Khalistan forget that it was in the backdrop of Hindu collapse in 1947. The majority community that was rooted in the soil of Bharat were the Hindus, confronting the Muslims who had come as invaders, whose spiritual roots and primary loyalty lie towards Mecca.
Let us look back to see the raison d’etre of Khalistan. In 1940’s there were four main political parties in India- three of them based on religion and one claiming to be secular, representing all.
In reality the one claiming to represent all was openly pro Muslim and anti Hindu/Sikh. In conjunction with the British rulers they suppressed or ignored the Hindu and Sikh representatives during the “Independence” talks, placing All-“India Muslim League” at par with “All-India Congress Party” to decide the fate of the Indian colony.
The Muslim League suddenly unleashed unprecedented violence against the Hindus in Noakhali district of Bengal to press home their demand for Pakistan. Non Muslim (Hindu) leadership under Mr MK Gandhi, the “Apostle of Non-violence”, collapsed immediately in terror, and we had Pakistan.
In that settlement the Sikhs were wiped out in West Punjab with Lahore and Sri Nankana Sahib “gone”. Also gone were the fertile lands that the Sikh farmers had cultivated by hard labour in Lyallpur district.
World’s most cowardly man, if given a loaded gun, can kill a lion. That is how the Government of India have behaved towards the brave Sikhs after conceding Pakistan upon their knees, accusing them of sedition, and killing tens of thousands of our young men instead of examining their own despicable cowardly conduct, sins and crimes against the people of India, especially the Sikhs, through honest introspection.
Morally and legally Khalistan had to be conceded on the day Pakistan was established. But the Sikh leader at the time, Mr. Baldev Singh, was a timid man, who was chosen by the British to betray the Sikhs. He believed Nehru to be a patriot, pro Hindu and a friend of the Sikhs. Little did the fool know that Nehru was the hidden hand (secret agent) of Islam and the enemy of Hindus and Sikhs, who would willingly go along with the unconditional surrender of five provinces of India to establish the fundamentalist Islamic State of Pakistan!

So why did the Muslims get Pakistan but the Sikhs failed to get Khalistan? Here are some reasons:
1.  Sikh ethos is identical to the Hindu ethos, that is, all mankind is one family. It is in sheer contrast to Christian and Islamic doctrines of “Family of Christ” and the “Brotherhood of Islam” respectively, excluding the rest of mankind.
2.  Unlike the well-motivated and highly belligerent Muslims, cherishing the dream of resurrecting the former Mogul rule over India, the Sikhs were a tiny minority and could be easily intimidated and silenced by force.
3.  Propaganda: The Sikhs are very poor in media unlike the Muslims. They could not explain the reasons for Khalistan and could not get the majority of Sikhs to agree.
4.  Last but not the least, the Sikhs projected the demand for Khalistan in isolation, as a separate issue, instead of LINKING it to Pakistan.
Hence those who had merit on their side were forced into silence & submission in order to let the Muslims celebrate their resounding victory over the defeated and humiliated Hindus, to have the last laugh.
It is a challenge for the Sikh leaders to explain the justification for Khalistan with a level head and get the community united behind them to face the future. There is merit in the idea of defending one’s own territory. The best of friends and the greatest of leaders can betray one’s community in no time! (Read “Panchsheel” below to understand how India, known as the sub continent, collapsed ignominiously in a second!).
India’s enemies are not all gone or disappeared! By sticking to Gandhi and his bogus Secularism when the present India (Bharat) is only a fragment of the India of 1947, the Hindus have created the same political atmosphere that prevailed prior to Partition. It was NOAKHALI then (August 1946) and SRINAGAR now (since 1991). By deleting the word “Partition” Government of “Partitioned Indian Secular State” is making sure that the country’s future will be like her past (that is, slavery). Sikhs need to take note. Please ask the Chief Minister in Union Territory, “Why is there NO day of commemoration for the surrender of Lahore and Sri Nankana Sahib in 1947 and the MILLION innocent citizens massacred?”
Sikhs in EAST Punjab, wedged between Lahore and Delhi, should take note of the menacing clouds gathering overhead and worry about their safety in the years ahead! The first step is to move the State capital to PATIALA for the government to have better access to far flung areas of the truncated State.
HINDU CONFUSION & COLLAPSE IS THE BACKDROP OF KHALISTAN
Please see how the majority community (Hindus) ”performed” in defence of LAHORE (and “Akhand Bharat”) in 1947. It was exactly as they had defended Delhi (and Hindusthan) in 1192 when the Turks attacked!
In the case of India, those living in glass houses not only threw stones but also rockets, bombs and bullets at the Sikhs’ holiest shrine in Sri Amritsar (1984) and the subsequent 10 years of “Hell” for the Sikhs who were hunted, arrested, tortured in jails and killed in “fake” encounters. There is NO sign yet that those extra-judicial killings will be investigated and the bereaved families compensated! Those who regard the victims of Partition in 1947 and of the subsequent killings during 1980’s “rubbish” are “RUBBBISH” themselves. That is the verdict on all the chief ministers of EAST Punjab and all the prime ministers of “Broken” Bharat where we see not a single Memorial to our dead!
Inside every Sikh lad there is the awareness that he is a lion cub and inside every Sikh adult there is the awareness that he is surrounded by “jackals” carrying guns! And all must know by now that reckless Hindusthan will rather feed an ITALIAN, placing her on top, and embrace a “Pakistani” while neglecting, ignoring and starving own family!
So either the Hindus “perform” in the “bed of politics”, that is, “dissolve” Pakistan (undo Partition), or follow “Satyam Vijayate” and concede Khalistan.
In other words, “EITHER FRONTIER BACK TO KHYBER OR KHALISTAN!”
The Sikhs (Proud Punjabis) should not live in a defeated, gutless, thankless and cowardly country that gave away the “heart of Punjab” (Lahore) to the enemy, put the chief minister on Union Territory and attacked Sri Harmandir Sahib to hurt (and insult) a brave community that, under its own flag, conquered Khyber Pass. Bharat (Hindusthan) did not take a minute to surrender the same historicfrontier post without any shame while they cannot recapture it even in dream!

 I hope that you are aware of the recent STUPID behavior  of Captain Amrinder who is a traitor to the Cause of Khalistan, and does not even understand the True meaning of Khalistan, which is the Complete Freedom of a person or Community from internal and external bondage including territorial bondage of any kind.  Only a free person can be near his/her Creator. is the message of Gurbani.
It is difficult to agree with your assertion that , " Sikh ethos is identical to the Hindu ethos, that is, all mankind is one family". is half true only.
"All mankind is one family" is true but there is no way that Gurbani  Ethos of Honesty is any way near of Hindu ethos of Cheating and Betrayals. There are numerous  examples to prove this point, but study just one when the Hindu Hilly Chiefs took fake oath on cow and attacked Sikhs of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib whose father and his Sikhs gave their lives to protect the Sacred thread  "JANEAU" of Hindus in which Guru Sahib did not even believed in the first place. And look how the Hindutva is behaving now against minorities because they have the power of fantic numbers on their side.
Gandhi was labelled as " awful old Hypocrite" (R.E.Pearson 's memoirs) By Mr. J.L. Nehru. If one read the true history of M.K.Gandhi, it becomes very clear that he was in Africa The British made him as their helper to pacify the people asking for immediate independence and delay the eventual independence by a couple of years. Gandhi was working  for the British posing as leader for ignorant masses.
Nehru touted secularism only superficially but secretly keeping close ties with fanatic Hindus to keep him in power. Just moths before Independence Nehru was frantically in a rush to place crown over his head and no regard for the safety of public.On the other hand British intentionally delayed the peaceful transition of power to keep then ruling until the end when they became SCARED that they will be attacked as soon as they are leaving, therefore they left in such a rush with their feet on their heads in a highly cowardly manner, not caring for the peaceful transition of power that  ended in civil war in artificially partitioned subcontinent and tremendous loss of life at the hands of FANATICS. This was the most grave dereliction of duty on the part of British, Congress leaders, and Muslim League Leaders.. They all became the blood sucking vampires as Guru Sahib said "RAT PIT   KUTIO CHATT JAAHO...".
Sikhs as a community has many problems. Many of us do not read and reflect upon Gurbani to guide if daily living in acordece with the Gurbani Teachibg, Secondly there are all kinds of Traitors and opportunists and Selfish people who are somehow occupying positions of authority for which they are not capable., just as they say "Chor Uchaka Chaudhry Gundi Run Pradhaan..." In addition there is whole lot of Dera Saadh and type of Sajan Thugs all over, that ordinary people do not have a chance to escape. Under the circumstances thre is not a chance for any kind of Real Freedoms in a rotten Society, although occasionally there may be  some bright spots in some places.
Sikh Ethos are NOT AT ALL those of Hindu Ethos and vice versa, Although One Eternal Being is in all but the Egos in people that push them away from  Him absent from The Eternal One.As Sikhs we have to think much more thoroughly. Considering global interests, because the selfish and crooked leaders of much divided and redivided Punjab have forgoten the .interests of the people of Punjab. The meaning of freedom for corrupt leaders is nothing but "GUNDAGARDI" in the land of five rivers whose hydro & waters had been robbed by outsiders.We have think more deeper.
