On this day the Indian Military Forces brutally attacked the central sikh shrine Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar (Golden Temple) where thousands on innocent sikhs were killed. Subsequently Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa (Bhindrawale) and other singhs fought the battle to retaliate the attack started on June 3rd, 1984.
Those martyrs continued to defend the pious sikhs shrines, till the unmindful Indian Government decided to use tanks against the people(sikhs) of its own country (India) and on June 6th, 1984 Sri Akal Takht Sahib was bombarded with tanks. June 6 marks the 28th Anniversary of Shaahedi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and many singh, singhnees who fought against hindustan’s forces.
