Sardar Hardev Singh Ji ,   Thank you for sending me many of the older editorials from your bulletin, although I do have all of these in my collection,and I read all these whenever these were published. Many of them where subject matter is Gurbani are all excellent, and the commentary on Jathedars, Badals, Dera walas is good. However, I was dismayed when one of your editorial publishing lies about General Bhullar was read. There was no truth whatsoever, in your allegations against General Bhullar with whom I worked closely and get to know him personally.He never misused any funds entrusted to him in 1984-85. I still have the financial reports of WSO and its audit reports. The government of India tried its best to put all kinds of restriction on his travels in foreign lands specifically UK,USA,and Canada. They did their best to tarnish his reputation as a staunch Sikh who dedicated his life to Sikhi after his retirement.
Dr. Sangat Singh is a crook with whom I had intimate discussions when he came to sell his book (Sikhs in history). In an after dinner meeting at S. Karnail Singh Ji ( member of Institute of Sikh Studies,Chandigarh), dr. Sangat Singh was expressing his fears from the Jujharu Sikhs ! After listening to his storey I told him that if he has to fear from anyone, it should be from the Government of India and their agents and not from any Jhujharus. This fear from Jhujharu must have been instilled in him directly or indirectly by the GOI." Describing his rise in the foreign Affairs department he attributed this to Rajiv Gandhi, who recruited him from the Indian Embassy office in Dubai.
Rajiv Gandhi assigned him duty to visit Pakistan Gurdwaras frequently and specially on Gurpurabs to spy on Jhujharu Sikhs there and report directly to him." He acted as a mole to report on the Sikhs who had to flee to Pakistan due to Police Oppression in Punjab to escape death in false encounters.
The remarks he made about General Bhullar he agreed was on hearsay and he failed to investigate, because he was in a rush to publish his book.I told him it was easy for him to meet General Bhullar at least to give him a chance to refute those false accusation, but he failed to do that. After that I exchanged letters with him for two years and sent him notices to retract those slandering remarks he made against General Bhullar.After two years I gave up to pursue the matter any further because it is virtually impossible for a Sikh to receive any Justice in any Indian Court. It would have been a waste of time and resources to fight a court battle with Akirtghan like him who himself told me that he was working for Rajiv to report on Sikhs. General Bhullar refuted all these allegations in his detailed letter to me.
As far Gurtej Singh is concerned, most of his views are due to his personal animosity against Bhullar, and had no basis in reality. His are only lies based on his own false doubts, and Jealousies. There is not an iota of truth in his writing about General Bhullar. His own petty matters written in tiny details gives the reader of the petty state of his distorted  mind, about the General.He is trying to augment his arguments with false and biased information from two control freaks in Ottawa ( Gurcharan Singh Bal  & Dr. Bakhshish Samagh) who furiously walked out January,1985 meeting of wso in California, because the controlling constitution they prepared for the wso got rejected there.
Then they started a court case against wso to grab the funds to which they never contributed a penny. They lost their case in Ontario Supreme Court.I personally observed their poisonous behaviour against Gen. Bhullar in a wso meeting held in Buffalo,NY. The people in Canada knew these Control freaks from the days of federation of Sikh Societies that they controlled and abused government grant money for the organization.They wanted to force the dictator ship of their Federation on wso. The allegations of Prof. Gurtej Singh against General Bhullar are childish bereft of any Truth.
 Anyway when a writer for any reason tries to slander others with false allegation based on lies and distortions, all the good work he may have done can be easily trashed by the enlightened readers.Any way The History will be the Judge eventually.Its very sad that some Sikhs are harming the Khalsa Panth and some others are tying to distort the Sikh history through their egoistic actions and writing lies.
 In your Editorial (Feb.2001) you mentioned about Jathedar Ranjit Singh's friendship with Badnaam person Amar Singh Brundi. Most of the people knew that and one of my very Close friend from UK also wrote a letter to Ranjit Singh warning him not to associate with this person. However he got rebuke from the Jathedar in reply. You may have written letters comprising hundreds of pages to some of these leaders without getting any reply.              This the norm there. they do not even acknowledge any receipt of such letters. I myself and many of my colleagues had written detailed letters to these guys in Amritsar without any reply or action. That is their modus operandi. They will not reply, and if by mistake they do reply it would be incompetent and useless. They simply do not have the brain with SOJHI to reply or act. However,I was surprised to know about getting shafted by this Amar Singh Crook ! Some Anpharrh person like me may become a victim of this crook but it is not expected from enlightened people to get caught in their net.
 On page 4 you mentioned a name Darbara Singh Gill (a Vakil). I do not know such a name but I know one named Dalwara Singh Gill who is also a Vakil in Ludhiana-  Is Darbara Singh a different person than Dalwara Singh? Because I know Dalwara  Singh Gill ! Just curious.
About your editorial on delinking Banni and Banna its a misleading  idea. Banni & Banna go hand in Hand and both are equally important. If the Sikhs of today have to question the Wisdom of Guru Sahib then " Guru Vichara Kiya Kare Jad Chele Jaann Chhrrup   ! There is no use discussing this any further.
Regarding the harassment of Didar Bains, Dr. Jagjit Singh Ji and hundreds of Sikhs faced harassment on Indian Airports not because their names were on lists in foreign embassies, but because the Evil agents of the GOI wants to enact dramas and  names on fake lists, to create doubts and hatred in the minds of naive Sikhs who failed to understand the games of the GOI and their agents. 
Regarding WSC, It was created by a few Sikhs and Acting Jathedar  Manjit Singh when he visited Chicago. There was no need for such an organization. But we Sikhs love to create new organizations every other day just to satisfy our large egos. There are scores of organizations formed at International, National and every other levels. They got Justice Kuldip Singh in Punjab. There was a money scandal no accounts were provided. Kuldip Singh was a sincere person and found his efforts are not going to get any fruitful results and he left for greener pastures of New Delhi. 
WSC America Region continuing but has been accomplished. I know sometimes its hard to judge the accomplishments. But it is possible if people put their heads together. Do we really need that many organizations? If Yes then is it not good to have some kinds of coordination to reduce duplicity and wastage of already limited resources? Why people can not sit together in a trustworthy manner to make decision on Panthik matters and projects ? There Sikh Coalition, SELDEF, United Sikhs,Sikhs for Justice and many many foundations around !
I have known Kala Afgana Ji for more than two decades. I first met him golden,BC on my way t Vancouver,where he started as a Granthi at local Gurdwara. Before coming to Canada and before Indian Army Attack on Darbar Sahib he retired as a Thanedar from Punjab Police and he was a go between Indian Govt, agents,Punjab Police and Bhindranwale. Then moving as a Granthi from one Gurdwara to another in Victoria and Vancouver. I bought all his books to read.and I had many many long conversations on phone and personally in other peoples homes.
He used to loose his temper very easily. During his stay in Victoria he got involved in a scandal with a lady there. He talked to me at length to justify his innocence. He was not kind to those who raised their voice for Rights and independence. The some of his Books he wrote are good but otherscan be controversial.. Anyway he is a good friend of mine, and his wife Parkash Kaur is very kind  and helpful lady. Both of them live where I live.
The Jathedars did not dealt fairly with him. They never replied to his countless enquiries and letters, and then based on trumpeted propaganda they excommunicated him. This got my sympathy for him because he was not treated fairly.Its not only Ranjit Singh, but all Jathedars , Prof. Darshan Singh,Vedanti ; Gurbachan Singh and Jathedars of Patna and Hazoor Sahib all of them made errors of Judgement  and strayed away from Gurbani Principles and Sikh Rehat Maryada.
Based on the many wrong decisions by Jathedars, I always told them that they have lost respect from the Sikhs at large. I believe in the Supremacy of Akal Takhat Sahib as Supreme Institution for Sikhs, but not the supremacy of these Jathedars and their wrong decisions based on trumpeted charges,and not in accordance with Gurbani principles.
Whenever I write to these Jathedars on many many issues, like Nanakshahi Calendar etc, and I have told them ," Appni Parteet Aap He Khovai. Bahaurrh Us Ka Visvaas Na Hovai.". There is not much one can do when the Whole framework is in ruins. The people gets the leaders as they themselves are. Leaders has to come from the Community itself. If the People are mostly VIKAOO then they get vikaoo leaders also.Ego and Greed are the biggest enemies.
However there are still people who are trying to do  their best with limited means and resources and work for the Charrhdi kala of the Panth, howsoever,small those efforts may be.Importantly they do nor slander others based on lies and wrong information. Honest Sikhs will not let the history be distorted by the rumours and lies propagated by dishonest writers.
 I wanted to meet you when you came to attend the International Singh Sabha meeting in Brampton. I specially came to attend that meeting and talk to you.There were lecture after lecture and some guests kept me busy at lunch time.Towards the end of the meeting when I asked Parminder Parmar to let me see you. He somehow told me that he will make arrangement later on as you were busy with other people. Then I found out that you have already left. Therefore I could not meet you. Anyway there was no use talking about something that has already been published and damage done.
 I do not have enough time to read all the editorial published over the years, I was really concerned about the one in which false allegations were made against General Bhullar.I don't know what good it did to anyone or the Sikhs at large. Publishing lies is not the Sikh Way !. One thing I know for sure that Truth never gets soiled in the long run.
