“THE electoral battles of India are fought on the playing fields of Pakistan. Once again, this time in the Gujarat state elections, the Pakistani card is being played to reincarnate Indian nationalism. It was not so long ago, during the Assam state elections, that Assamese were warned of a threat from Pakistan, a distant enemy located over 2,000 kilometres away.
1. Leaders live under Security Cover, but by hook and crook, they get elected as they wish even in Isolation in India.
An observation by: Balbir Singh Sooch-Sikh Vichar Manch
Now it’s western Gujarat’s turn to be similarly intimidated. To Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistan is the equivalent of President Donald Trump’s numerous demons all rolled into one. Trump may be afflicted by many headaches; Modi has only one migraine called Pakistan. He has tried numerous remedies, from bombastic rhetoric to boastful retaliation. He’s now veering towards a more potent prescription.
To sane Pakistanis and Indians, the recent deterioration in Indo-Pakistan relations is a cause for genuine concern. It is sliding from the inconceivable towards the inevitable.
Indian Muslims — whether Bollywood superstars like Shahrukh Khan or poets like Javed Akhtar — have become inured to the all-too-frequent tests of their patriotism.
Mr Modi threw in a scorpion of suspicion. He claimed the dinner given by Mr Aiyar for Mr Kasuri was a conspiracy to subvert the elections in Gujarat, even when those present were prominent Indians: “former Army chief Deepak Kapoor, former foreign minister K Natwar Singh, former diplomats Salman Haidar, TCA Raghavan, Sharat Sabharwal, K. Shankar Bajpai and Chin-maya Gharekhan, former PM Manmohan Singh and former Vice-President Hamid Ansari”.
The congress leader Mr Mani Shankar Aiyar on December 7, 2017 called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “neech aadmi (vile man)” and one who does “dirty politics (“He [Mr. Modi] is a neech kism ka aadmi who has no sabhyata [civility],” THE HINDU). That did it. The BJP emptied its barrels at Mr Aiyar. He stayed on his feet, but was felled when his own protégé Rahul Gandhi (now Congress chief) ordered him to apologise to Mr Modi. A second arrow shot into Aiyar’s other heel: he was suspended from his party’s membership. The extract courtesy: The playing fields by F.S. Aijazuddin.

2. PM from hard Hindutva a party is flying from sea to sky, an appointed and forced as a celebrity of soft Hindutva party flying from sky to ground as president of soft Hindutva party.
3. Like this: Leaders like to live in air and cut off from leading parties and masses in isolation in India, but by hook and crook, they get elected as and when they wish.
4. Guess! Who is left to lead in reality as a real representative of common people of Indians?
5. Is there any ‘Leader’ unquestionably left among these parties to work for the dignity and the welfare of the common people of India now?
http://www.thehindu.com/
Mr Aiyar should take comfort from Lord Halifax’s observation (in a slightly different context) that “the best party is but a conspiracy against the rest of the nation” (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਈਅਰ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਰਡ ਹੈਲੀਫੈਕਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ (ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ) ਤੋਂ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ‘‘ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੀ ਕੌਮ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ ਹੈ”)।
Now, in the context as it is being adversely said about the best party ‘AAM AADMI PARTY (AAP) by all the Indian traditional political parties. Because ‘Political revolution in India has begun; Bharat jaldi badlega’ Arvind Kejriwal repeatedly said.
“Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Monday, December 11, 2017 hit out at Prime Minister Modi accusing him of spreading falsehoods to score political points in the on-going Gujarat elections. Below is the full text of the statement issued by Dr Singh.
“I am deeply pained and anguished by the falsehood and canards being spread to score political points in a lost cause by none less than Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. Fearing imminent defeat in Gujarat, desperation of Prime Minister to hurl every abuse and latch on to every straw is palpable. Sadly & regrettably, Sh. Modi is setting a dangerous precedent by his insatiable desire to tarnish every constitutional office, including that of a Former Prime Minister and Army Chief.
The Congress Party needs no sermons on “Nationalism” from a party and Prime Minister, whose compromised track record on fighting terrorism is well known. Let me remind Sh. Narendra Modi that he had gone to Pakistan uninvited after the terrorist attacks in Udhampur and Gurdaspur. Let him also tell the country the reason for inviting the infamous ISI of Pakistan to our strategic Air Base in Pathankot to investigate a terror attack that emanated from Pakistan.
I reject the innuendos and falsehoods as I did not discuss Gujarat elections with anyone else at the dinner hosted by Shri Mani Shankar Aiyar as alleged by Shri Modi. Nor was the Gujarat issue raised by anyone else present at the dinner. The discussion was confined to India-Pakistan relations. Names of the distinguished Indian public servants and journalists present at the dinner are enclosed to this statement. None of them could be accused of indulging in any anti-national activities.
I sincerely hope that he will apologize to the Nation for his ill thought transgression to restore the dignity of the office he occupies. Dr Manmohan Singh said”

Were ‘Times Group's mega online poll’ meant To Falsify ‘The Religion and the Indian Election’ Perspective on World’s Largest Democracy etc? As most voters say no to politics of religion in Times Group's mega online poll: TIMESOFINDIA.COM | Updated: Dec 15, 2017, 22:19 IST as reported. Questions arise?

“Religion and the Indian election-2014: India is choosing a new government. Many pundits predict that the country’s 814 million voters will make Narendra Modi, head of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the next prime minister of the world’s largest democracy.
Religion is a big factor in the six-week election, which ends on May 12, 2014 (the winner will be announced May 16, 2014).
The (U.K.) Telegraph writes that Modi has exploited religious tensions to grab power, promising to build a Hindu temple on the site of a historic mosque.
The New York Times reports that “the ascent of Modi and his Hindu nationalist party has raised concerns that members of minority religious groups would face discrimination if the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power.”
The Financial Express cites the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom’s concerns about “BJP’s and Narendra Modi’s close association with Hindu nationalist organisations” and with the “ideology of Hindutva, which holds non-Hindus as foreign to India.” Courtesy by: News Harvard Edu Gazette story.
Former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh’s Caution, “For Pakistan, Mr Modi’s more sinister-evil, disturbing; suggesting evil- ‘threatening or suggesting malevolence, menace, or harm’ accusation is that his predecessor had wantonly ignored the advice of his specialists to order a surgical strike after the 26/11 Mumbai attack” had always deep roots as the ancient Roman poet Horace warn us that “force without wisdom falls of its own weight” ( ‘ਸੂਝ-ਵਿਹੂਣੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਪਰਨੇ ਡਿੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ’) and we shouldn’t forget the poet Horace’s warning”.
