CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The 3rd martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Shaheed Bhai Gurjit Singh Nikke Sarawan will be observed at Bargari tomorrow. Thousands of Sikhs will attend this religious program being held at the grain market of Bargari where the Sarbat Khalsa appointed acting Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand has been sitting on strike since June 1.
Notably, Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Shaheed Bhai Gurjit Singh Nikke Sarawan had attained martyrdom in an unprovoked firing opened by the Police on the peacefully Sikhs at Behbal Klan.
Sikh24 has learnt that the Sikh sangat has started arriving at Bargari to attend the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib which was laid on October 12 in commemoration of the martyred Sikhs.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the Jathedar Dhian Singh Mand has distanced the Bargari agitation from the ultimatum given by Sukhpal Khaira to the Punjab government to arrest sacrilege culprits and killer cops within 15 days.

Jathedar Dhian Singh Mand and Jathedar Baljit Singh Daduwal said that they have nothing to do with the political agenda announced by the AAP and LIP leaders. They irked that the AAP and LIP leaders didn’t discuss anything about their agenda with them.
It is pertinent to note here that although there is a widespread wrath among Punjab masses on sacrilege issue but the role played by AAP leaders in organizing a mega march from Kotkapura to Bargari on October 7 couldn’t be ignored. The AAP leaders contributed a lot in keeping sacrilege row a burning issue in Punjab politics and failing the traditional Akali-Congress nexus from diverting attention of people from the sacrilege issue.
