experience with prayer.
A Face book friend of mine (Sardar G. S. Bhalla) desired me to describe my experience with prayer. His insistence puts me in a position not to decline it.
My understanding of the prayer is that prayer done from the core of heart and in total submission to the Almighty gets accepted. If it is not accepted, it means one has not prayed with full devotion, faith and submission. Formal prayer by any religious entity is no prayer. Paid prayers are a sheer joke. When one is in prayer, it is not possible for him to utter words. Only the tears flow from the eyes, rather from the heart. There is no reason such a prayer not to have desired outcome. Let me tell you my experience:
When I was Vice Chancellor at Patiala, my grandson of about 2 year started limping mildly. The University doctor took him to specialist in the city, who diagnosed as mild polio attack. It was late evening, when the doctor told me. No one in the family was told about it. Believe me, I felt as if the whole world is lost for me. I could not take even a single morsel of food. The child used to sleep with me. I got lost in the prayer the whole night without a word; rather no word came out from me. Tears were flowing from my eyes and I was offering myself for the disease in place of my child. There was no question of any sleep the whole night. In the morning when I again took my grandson to the doctor he decaled him perfectly fine and was surprised himself. So, dear friend, prayer has no language, it does not speak. It is only the complete submission with faith in the powers of the Almighty. AND HE LISTENS !!
