The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund (CMPRF) has received about Rs 79.74 crore as donations from the public and organisations towards coronavirus relief works Similarly some other CMs, now their  eye is on a public charitable trust under the name of the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund.
Though, “PM CARES Fund Now Has 'Independent Auditor' But Remains Beset by Lack of Transparency: After weeks of criticism, the fund quietly updated its website to note that it had appointed SARC & Associates, headed by Sunil Kumar Gupta, to audit the fund”. THE WIRE
But ‘PM CARES Fund’ is not under the ambit of Section 2(h) of the RTI Act. Hence ‘PM CARES Fund’ is non- negotiable-fixed and also got exemption under the FCRA, and, it is not like Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
