PICTORIAL: Protest against India’s excesses on agitating farmers in Amritsar
CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Today, scores of Sikhs staged a protest against the Indian government’s atrocities on protesting farmers. All the protesters expressed their resentment against the ruling BJP government while carrying placards in support of arrested farmer activists Ranjit Singh and Nodeep Kaur.
It is pertinent to note here that around 143 farmer activists have been taken into custody by the Delhi police. A very few of them have succeeded in securing bail while others are still facing judicial custody just for protesting against the unconstitutional farm laws introduced by the Indian government. Till date, around 200 farmers have lost lives in the ongoing farmers’ agitation including Shaheed Navreet Singh who was “shot down” by the Delhi cops on January 26.
