Sir, You have been refuting all facts about Mool Nanakshahi Calendar for the past more than twenty years. Your more refuting will not change e your LIES into TRUTH. Gurbani does not believe in ASHUBH MONTHS that is believed by Hindus. In one year there are 12 months ONLY, not 13 or 14 months as believed by Hindus. Back in 1998-1999 all your objections to Mool Nanakshahi Calendar were properly explain to you by Sardar Pal Singh Ji, but your poor understanding of Calendar Science and Gurbani Teachings would not allow you to see the TRUTH under the influence of your ENLARGED EGO. I do not blame you at all because " JIS NOO AAP BOOLAI KARTA KHUS LAI CHANGEEAEE...." I have heard about you 32 Questions listed here before, and these have been answered several times before by Sardar Pal Singh and Sardar Sarbjit Singh Ji. I have kept all the correspondence between you and other Gursikhs responding to your arguments in the past twenty years. None of your fake arguments hold any water. Sardar Pal Singh Ji is a gentle person and tried to convince you in the initial stages but your, "MAIN NA MANOO" mentality pushed him away from holding any further discussions with you because he preferred to act on Gurbani Verses, " MOORKHAI NAAL NA LUJHEEAI, PARRD AKHAR EHO BHUJHEEAI..." S. Sarbjit Singh from California challenged you many many times in the past, but you failed to accept the challenges and eventually, you blocked and changed your email address to evade the challenges. We have a record of all that correspondence. Sir your method of any civil discussion on the Sikh Calendar issue was based on "MY WAY OR HIGHWAY.".You do not want to listen to any arguments based on Gurbani and Calendar Science  You do not even know that the Raja Bikramdit is an invention of clever Bipar minds and this name was invented by them 800 years after the death of that Raja Bikramadit.    Well, SIKHS know for sure that the Only Calendar that will be followed by Sikhs all over the world will be Mool Nanmakshahi Calendar 1998-1999. and yourself and Dera Walars can carry on creating "ADAMBARS ON WRONG HISTORICAL DATES" in the names of celebrations Of Sikh History that is nothing more than "HYPOCRISY".So much misinformation is being spread in the Name of PRISTINE GURBANI TEACHINGS by these DERA WALAS, that they will not be able to carry on for too long, because the majority of the Sikhs are now reading Gurbani themselves to adopt the teachings in their daily lives.   1. I strongly refute your charge that the Sikhs are following Hindu Calendar. Bikrami calendar is Indian Calendar developed by Indian astronomers. As Gregorian calendar used by Canadian agencies indicating Canadian days of importance is known as Canadian Calendar Similarly if used by Australia is known as Astralian Calendar etc  similarly Bikarmi Calendar if used by Hindus indicating their festivals is known as Hindu calendar, if used by Budhist or Jain or Sikhs giving their respective days of importance is known by their name ie Budhist, Jain or Sikh Calendar. 

  2. Secondly ALL dates given by Purewal are fictitious. I had proved this fact in the presense of Purewal in a meeting held in DEC. 1999 at AKAL Takhat. I still challenge his fictitious dates and can prove in the presence of astronomers/Mathematicians and historians.

The Politicians must be barred from interfering in the affairs of Decision making by the five Jathedars in unanimous decisions strictly based on the basis of Gurbani Teachings.

I distribute this discussion to hundreds of Gursikhs all over the world as bcc. We as Sikhs must think about changing the working of the current SGPC on the pattern of SINGH SABHA MOVEMENT.

I think SGPC is living in its own comfort zone. They do not care about what is happening to Khalsa Panth in the rest of India and overseas. They are busy with Nagar Kirtans and all "feel good" events with nice cholas!

  They never even touch upon the core issues the Sikh Nation is facing other than making a passing remark about them now and then. There is never a solid program in place to address the real issues! Foreign Sikhs are not their enemies, but they need to listen to them and learn from them. 

   Any question that you ask about Panthic issues will make them uncomfortable. So do not count on any reply at all. You are not alone - no Sikhs gets any reply from SGPC or Jathedars. 

BJP is on full frontal attack on the Sikh Nation all over the print and social media, not just on Facebook and YouTube. There are only handful of Sikhs who are encountering them on the social media. I have been doing it for years within my own capacity and limited resources, but it is not easy. It takes a lot of time and effort. Sometimes you have to lick your wounds, get up and get going again. I have NEVER seen any social media rebuttal from any SGPC scholars against the onslaught of the Sikhs by RSS and BJP. There should be a team of at least dozen computer-savvy Sikh scholars tasked to do just that. They need to work full-time. They must be able to write in English. If they cannot do it, they should reach out to Sikhs in USA, Canada, UK, and other countries. 

   SGPC also need to figure out which part of Sant Samaj is with Khalsa Panth and which one is with BJP and RSS. 

  There are too many such media forums including but not limited to:

1. Print media
2. Email
3. LinkedIn
4. YouTube
5. Robocalls
6. Facebook
7. Instagram
8. Twitter
9. Fake new outlets with genuine sounding names (there are over 50 in the US alone)
10. "bots" or specialized computer programs which can pull data from any archives and automatically generate a fake news. It takes "deep programming, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer skills" to put it in place.

Hindus dominate high tech in the US, especially in the Silicon Valley, the nerve center of high tech. I have been working in the high tech for over 40 years. I know this first hand. BJP has millions of volunteers among them in India and overseas. They put all kinds of pressure on foreign governments.

World Sikh Council was launched after the 1995 Vishan Sikh Sammelan at the Golden Temple during the time of Jathedar Manjit Singh (then acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat). In 1996, World Sikh Council - America Region was launched at Guru Ram Das Ashram in Los Angeles. I am an eye witness to it and wrote a report in the media. I worked very closed with Jathedar Manjit Singh for that organization. I also worked with Jathedar Ranjit Singh. He was removed unceremoniously by Badal-controlled SGPC! The goal of WSC was to get overseas Sikhs involved in Panthic affairs and let them have a say in those affairs that affect them. I worked in the organization for about 9-10 years. The experiment did not work for one or another reason because of personal egos of some people and "blissful ignorance" of Sikh religious leaders. As a result World Sikh Council, which was working under the auspices of Sri Akal Takhat got got fed up and severed its relations with anyone in India!

 

I can go on an on, but I think this would at least shed some light on certain issues.

In 2005 Mr. Dhindsa then General Secretay, came to Ottawa and WSO people had a long meeting with him discussing Sikh issues. He agreed to set things RIGHT AT DARBAR SAHIB AND AKALTAKHAT SAHIB. I wrote a detailed letter to Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa providing him, the details of our discussions and to this day, No action had been taken on any of our concerns. In this letter, No 1 was the participation of Women at functions at Darbar Sahib.  If you read item No 5 again SGPC failed miserably to attend to the concern explained in my letters.

  There have been questions regarding Gurpurab and other important Sikh Historical dates as far back as 1935 and SGOC mired in Pachang Calendar provided to them by Devi Dyal Sharma of Jullundur (Now his sons after his death) HAVE CONSISTENTLY  FAILED TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEMS. If you listen to my conversation with SGPC Office their Jathedar from 1989 to 1991, it was clear that do not know anything about dates unless the BIPARS TELL THEM.

  I thought Giani Harpreet Singh Ji is more knowledgeable about Gurbani and Sikh Historical happenings, but he also FAILED TO TAKE ANY DECISIVE ACTION ON LONG PENDING SIKH MATTERS. This is the SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS AT SGPC AND THEIR JATHEDARS.

I have met with almost all Jathedars of Sri Akal Takhat and other Takhats in the last almost 30 years. I am not going to personally criticize anyone in particular, but it is no secret that they are not free to act even when they want to. We all know why. 

I just want to clarify my last statement as I mistyped something in a hurry.

If that calendar has any weaknesses, they can always be discussed, but yielding to RSS is like accepting an unconditional defeat from bipar. Khalsa Panth will never accept it! 

We all live in Western countries where any correspondence by any ordinary person is always responded to even by the highest office like the President of the United States. You may not get the reply that you expect, but you will get at least a post card from the White House acknowleging your communication.

I am sorry to tell you that our religious leaders, especially SGPC neither has any tradition nor any willingness to respond to any query by well-meaning Sikhs. You are not alone. They do not reply to anyone! I once wrote a letter to Jathedar Badungar when I was the Secretary General of World Sikh Council (which actually worked under the auspices of Sri Akal Takhat) many years ago.  I never got any response.  I am not longer associated with that organization, but WSC broke away from Sri Akal Takhat some years later and renamed itself American Sikh Council!

These Jathedars Preach about the Supremacy of The Akal Takhat Sahib but they THEMSELVES DO NOT ABIDE BY THE SUPREMACY OF THE INSTITUTION OF AKAL TAKHAT SAHIB. They will issue Hukamnamas against GURSIKHS AND ISSUE UNSOCILITED PARDON TO GUYS LIKE JHOOTHA SAUDA. that resulted in deaths at the hands of Corrupt and Cruel Punjab Police of Poor Gursikhs. For the past forty years, the People of Punjab Suffered Tortures, Deaths and  Disappearance at the hands of the most DITRY CORRUPT POLICE.

I wrote two long letter to SGPC and their Jathedars in May and November 2015 providing details about the When, Why, Where of Nanakshahi Calendar. They Never replied to this day, Even the Government of India in 1964 acknowledged that there is no such King as BIKRAMADIT and this name was invented 800 years by the Bipars. The world is measuring time with ATOMIC CLOCKS with a Millionth of A Second. And these Jathedars are trying to push Sikhs into STONE AGE. I tried to explain to them about the Darkness for several months at the North and South poles. and several months of daylight. Muslim Refugees sent in Northern Islands and they would not know how to recite NAWAZ THERE five time a day where the Sin does not go down for months,

Sikhs are Very Fortunate to Receive a Great GIFT OF GURBANI. However, We are very much unfortunate to have Jathedars and Presidents who want to remain SLAVES OF BIPARBAAD. Some of my Gursikh Colleagues remarked, " ASEE THAGGA DAI VAS PAI GAAI HAN, ATE EHNA  THAGGAN TON RAB HEE BCHAVAI" THAGG TAN BABAI NANAK SAHIB JI DEE BANEE SUNN KAI SAJAN BANN GIA SEE, PAR EHNA SANJA TAI GURBANEE DA KOEE ASAR NAHEE HO RIHA. IT IS VERY UNFORTUNATE that our Leaders have lost their TRUST NOW.

Thanks for sharing this important event of the Sikh history. I thank all those Canadian Sikhs who took a stand on this issue. 

  I was contacted by a Toronto court about the same issue about 20 years ago. They asked my opinion about it. They asked me if I could arrange for a saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib for the court. I told them in no uncertain terms that Sri Guru Granth Sahib is higher than ALL "worldly courts" and using Sri Guru Granth Sahib in a court for any such purpose would be against the Sikh principles.

  I have criticized SGPC and Badals for playing a second fiddle to RSS and Modi and throwing Khalsa Panth at their feet after tying its hands. In fact, the entire Khalsa Panth feels that way. I have read in Today's Tribune that SGPC has passed a resolution against RSS. I congratulate SGPC for this bold stand. I think it is  step in the right direction, but more needs to be done.

The Mool Nanakshahi Calendar was adopted by SGPC when Jathedar Tohra was the SGPC president and Jathedar Vedanti Sahib was the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. Some years later, under the influence of RSS + Sant Samaj, SGPC made a U-turn and implemented the same old Nanakshahi Calendar by setting aside the Mool Nanakshahi Calendar. This has already created a big issue all over the world in the Sikh community. 

  I know from reliable sources that former SGPC President Mr. Badungar met with RSS chief Mr. Bhagwat who told him that the Mool Nanakshahi Calendar is "creating problems for RSS." Why are we acting at the whims of an anti-Sikh Hindu right wing organization who is hell-bent in proving that Sikhs are Hindus! I have been fighting them for many years. If anyone is interested, I will be happy to forward some of my blogs and short articles.

 

RSS cannot be friends of the Sikhs.

It is high time for SGPC and esteemed Singh Sahib Giani Harpreet Sigh Ji to implement the Mool Nanakshahi Calendar developed by S. Pal Singh Purewal. He is not an ordinary scholar. It took centuries for Khalsa Panth to produce someone of this calibre, who was able set the Sikh calendar straight. If that calendar has any weaknesses, they cannot always be discussed, but yielding to RSS is like accepting an unconditional defeat from bipar. Khalsa Panth will never accept it!

A Civil Oath as described may be taken, However, if a Court is enforcing EVIL PUNISHMENTS AGAINST HUMAN DIGNITY SUCH AS DEATH PENALTY, A Sikh 

can refrain from providing any witness statements.
