The Services Of Sardar Jaswant Singh Sidhu; Ex-Serviceman Would Remain Time Immemorial Along With Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana
By: Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana-Sikh Vichar ManchThe Services Of Sardar Jaswant Singh Sidhu; Ex-Serviceman Would Remain Time Immemorial Along With Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana: Sardar Jaswant Singh Sidhu; Formerly Havildar from Indian Army, father of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana religiously, socially and politically was very sharp eyed personality, but some self centred people might have failed to recognise him during his life.
It is greatness of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, who does recognise the exceptional services provided him religiously and honestly by his father, Sardar Jaswant Singh Sidhu and his family members since the year 1995 in Jail.
On this very ground, Hon’ble High Court Of Punjab And Haryana, Chandigarh after hearing the petition of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana filed through learned counsel Vivek K Thakur and he was allowed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court to attend his father’s “bhog ceremony” under police escort on on January 31, 2022 at Ludhiana.
“My Personal Legal approach in the case of Balwant Singh Rajoana is as under:
1. Please look into it in the case of Balwant Singh Rajoana considering all aspects under the Constitution of India, ‘Has the Constitution of India any Provision to Allow Dying voluntarily?’
2. Please do consider seriously and urgently-immediately the matter as the Constitution of India do not put any conditions for enjoying the safety and liberty of any individual under any circumstances.
3. Submission by Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana before all advisory and non- advisory authorities under the government of India concerned etc in the case of Balwant Singh Rajoana: Thanks”:

But all pleas failed despite, “SAD delegation, including senior leaders and MPs Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Balwinder Singh Bhundur, Ranjit Singh Brahmpura and Prem Singh Chandumajra besides former MP Tarlochan Singh and SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal, apprised the Home Minister about the case, including the fact that Rajoana had started a fast unto death in the Patiala Central Jail to protest against the delay in processing of the mercy petition filed on his behalf before the President in 2012”. Thursday, 19 July 2018 | PNS | Chandigarh: SAD asks Rajnath to favorably dispose of Rajoana's mercy plea:the pioneer” https://www.dailypioneer.com/
Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana has been in jail for the past 26 years (Delay) and waiting for the verdict: Hope the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India will not also disagree with his Grievances, “the delay in processing of the mercy petition filed on his behalf before the President in 2012”.
Our justice system in our democracy, legally and constitutionally, nobody can dare at all to do such injustice, but the reasons are best known to the government of India.

“Seeking decision on mercy plea, Rajoana begins hunger strike: Balwant Singh Rajoana (Now, Balwant Singh Rajoana On Indefinite Fast Shifted From The Central Jail to Government Medical College and Rajindra Hospital, Patiala) said, “I have been in jail for the past 21 years (Delay)and waiting for the verdict...
But due to irresponsible role of the SGPC, the central government has kept the decision pending, “he stated in his letter, which was first uploaded by his sister Kamaldeep Kaur on her Facebook page and later circulated to media”.
Rajoana stated that he had refused to hire an advocate and did not move any appeal against his death sentence, but the SGPC filed a mercy petition on the ‘popular demand of Sikh Sangat’, and did not pursue it”.
