The Editorial titled Obsessing Over Numbers talks of the infatuation by Sikh religious leaders within Punjab with the notion of increasing the percentage of Sikh population within the state. Why are Sikh religious leaders fixated on the view that the number of Sikhs in Punjab are dwindling? Jogishwar Singh, PhD Switzerland provides his views on the practice of a political paradigm that is largely devoid of ethical or moral considerations, but is nevertheless the flavour in several if not most countries in the world in his essay titled Realpolitik: Panacea or Perdition?

In his regular column titled Gurbani Verse Analysis, Karminder Singh Dhillon, PhD examines a verse from within Bhatt banni ਸਤਜੁਗਿ ਤੈ ਮਾਣਿਓ ਛਲਿਓ ਬਲਿ ਬਾਵਨ ਭਾਇਓ ॥ satjug tai maani-o chhali-o bal baavan bhaa-i-o to discover its spiritual meaning.

Prof Emeritus Hardev Singh Virk conducts a critical examination of a study by Jaskanwar Singh, a young Sikh Historian of Leicester University, who explores the role of the Sikhs during the Partition of India; in his essay titled A Critical Appraisal of “The Sikhs and the Prospect of Pakistan: Their Relationship with Key Actors and their Responses to Proposals, between 1940 and 1947.

Writer, thinker and member of The Sikh Bulletin’s Editorial Board, Moninder Singh of Canada, in his regular column titled ਖੰਡ ਮੰਡਲ ਵਰਭੰਡ, examines a shabd of Bhagat Kabir from within the pages of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib in his Punjabi in his essay ਨਿਰਧਨ ਸਰਧਨ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਭਾਈ.

Advocate Surinder Singh Kanwar of Australia ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੰਵਰ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ, in his regular column titled ਕੰਵਰ ਦੀ ਕਲਮ ਤੋਂ, offers a view on the phenomenon of friendships within the spiritual realm in his Punjabi essay ਸੱਜਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ.
