With pain in our hearts and anger in our minds, we the sikh 
community of baramulla kashmir want to convey a serious 
matter to you.
Two of our sikh brothers, namely, dr sukhjit singh, surjit 
singh, purchased a book from new delhi indra gandhi airport
 terminal 3.
Title of book was
HISTORY OF THE SIKHS.
this book is written by MR.W.L.M’GREGOR AND PUBLISHED BY 
RUPA PUBLICATIONS , 7/16 ANSARI ROAD DARYAGUNG NEW DELHI 
110002,ISBN-978-81-291112-4-1,109876543 .
The matter of this book contains a material which disgraces
 the personality and life of our sikh guru's .some of the 
contents are as below: 
Page 32-----miraculous part of the story was composed later
 to impart a degree of sanctity to the gooroo,nanuk.
Page 36-nanuk considered himself a successor of mohd.
39-present warlike and quarrelsome habits of the Sikhs
46-after all nanuk’s was an imperfect code of religion
P47-sikhs are like other pagan and barbarious nations,victims
 to their evil propensities,their morality is even below that
 of the blood thirsty moslems, for they are guilty of crimes
 revolving in the sight of god and man.
59. boodha  was a notorious thief and freebooter
61. haur govind had three wives
P66-67-teghbahadar was killed by enemosity to ram rai and not
 for sake of kashmiri pundits.
69-Aurangzeb asked Makhan shah to burn the body of Tegbahadar
70.Govind perforformed pooja of Devi/debee
72.Govind wanted to sacrifice his sons for pooja of Debee/
devi. govind threw head of a sikh in fire for pleasing Debi.

The above contents are full of hatred and enemosity of the 
author for the Sikhs and their gurus.
it seems that he has been hired by some people/ agencies to
 tarnish the image of sikh gurus and to stop people from 
 adopting sikh religion.
We the sikh community of baramulla are in shock and 
situation here is tense.
we condemn the matter and want the strong action should be
 taken against the author,
 publisher, and seller of this book.If the same would have
 been happened with muslim community or other community, 
they would have thrashed the govt and the culprits, 
but unfortunately we the sikhs are getting worse day by day,
 we have forgot the teachings and sacrifies of our guru's
We there fore ,request your goodself to initiate proceedings
 against the author and publisher and get the book banned,
 the way muslims have got some books banned for
 sale in india.
