Respected Dr. Gurnam Singh Jee (UK),
Waheguru jee ka Khalsa  Waheguru jee kee Fateh
There has been no outcome as a result of Fasting Unto Death when we look at the earlier attempts by Sant Fateh Singh, Master Tara Singh, Darshan Singh Pheruman, Khalsa Gurbaksh Singh. Another Sikh Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti is also on Fasting at Jantar-Mantar, New Delhi but none has taken any notice of him except news in the Rozana Spokesman.
During Gurus Period (1469-1708) and Sikh Struggle during 1709-1919, there has been no such instance when any Sikh had resorted to such gimmick. Gurbani condemns such system but still we are often led away by our emotions and waste time and energy in such a futile exercise especially when we know that the Indian Governments at the Centre and in Punjab
have never taken any initiative to resolve any Sikh problem. Similarly, the Head Ministers and other Sikh Organizations have really lost the righteous and truthful way of life.
Perhaps, The Sikh Diaspora may wish to look into this issue seriously so that the Sikhs are in a position to regain their past Dignity and Glory without resorting to such fasting.
Release of the Sikh prisoners could be possible under Articles 72 and 161 of The Constitution of India provided PM Dr. Manmohan Singh and Parkash Singh Badal have the guts to recommend so !!
