After the tragic episode of June 1984.
Dear Dr. Gurnam Singh Jee (UK),
Thanks a lot for sharing both the episodes of 6th June 1944 and 6th June 1984.
Now one thing is crystal clear that after the Second World War, USA and EC NATO don’t wish to have another war at their doors. Accordingly, the Allied Forces have been busy in engineering wars in other countries from Korean War to the latest ones after 9 / 11.
Whereas the Sikh Nation has been on the receiving end as slaves since 29th March 1849. We have lost the past Dignity and Glory after the tragic episode of June 1984.
Or I would say that the day to day condition of the Sikhs in Punjab and other Indian States, is worse than the orphans and slaves except few, who have been rejoicing the lap of the Hindutva. More than 80% Sikh families have already abandoned the Guru’s Teachings as enshrined in the Guru Granth Sahib. The so called Jathedars have been behaving like Qazis/Mullahs and Shankercharyas under the command of their Political Masters. Disunity and mistrust amongst the Sikhs is on the increase.
The Sikh intellectuals, if any, appear to have taken shelter in the caves like the olden days Naths and Yogis. There is no Sikh Think Tank as if they all have sunk under the burden of SAD, SGPC, DSGMC, AKJ, CKD, DDT and other personified Organizations.
Kindly look into some other strategy so that the Sikh Nation may unite under one Basanti Nishan Sahib and start practicing Gurbani enshrined in the Guru Granth Sahib up to Mundavani at pages 1 to 1429. Like the Jews, The Sikh Diaspora could have played much more positive role but they too remain divided over petty jealousies !
With best wishes and Charhdi Kalaa,
Gurmit Singh (Sydney-Australia)
