As you may know, the People's Climate March will be the largest movement for climate action in history.
Our Gurus reminded us to see the Earth as our Divine Mother -

The March - 11:30 am, Sunday, September 21st
Assembly Location:
* Central Park West, between 65th and 86th streets.
* Enter on 65th, 72nd, 77th, 81st, or 86th street.
March Route:
* The march will begin at 11:30AM.
* March down Central Park West and go east on 59th Street.
* Turn onto 6th Ave. and go south to 42nd Street.
* Turn right onto 42nd Street and go west to 11th Ave.
* Turn left on 11th Ave. and go south to 34th Street.
End Location: 11th Ave. in the streets between 34th Street and 38th Street.

There are several different bodies that are convening to collaborate on the People's Climate March, including local New York-area community groups, international NGO's, grassroots networks, churches and faith organizations, and many more.
Because this is a "movement of movements" moment, the People's Climate March is being organized in a participatory, open-source model. This means that there isn't a central "decision-making" body or single coalition. Rather, groups and individuals are collaborating with some basic shared agreements around respect, collaboration, trust, and many are using the Jemez Principles of Environmental Justice.
This September is going to be a success because of the work we all do together - not because of any one person or organization. Take the initiative to organize your community, your school, your workplace, and your neighbors.
