What really happened in Punjab
Giani Zail Singh later indicated that he had gathered eight to ten former Naxalites for formation of Dal Khalsa Side by side, on the same Baisakhi, April 13, 1978, was enacted another drama, the reactivation of the dormant Naxalites at a meeting at Aroma Hotel, Chandigarh - the hotel bill of Rs. 600 being paid by Giani Zail Singh.
14 Indira had used both Giani Zail Singh and Prof. V. N. Tiwari of Chandigarh who later was nominated to Rajya Sabha.
15 Giani Zail Singh used his knowledge of the Sikh history to give the group the name of Dal Khalsa
VERSUS Khalsa Dal had been established in 1734 under Nawab Kapur Singh to consolidate the Sikh power; and now an organisation with corresponding nomenclature was being set up to liquidate the Sikh Panth!

And
Dal Khalsa activists led by founder Panch Gajinder Singh (who had been closer to Zail Singh) to draw international attention to Bhindranwale’s arrest. [Since then perhaps Gajinder Singh continues in Pakistan. Subsequently, some Hindus had also hijacked an aeroplane, but they were then released and elected....details need to be verified, if so desired] Sardar Gurmit Singh-Sydney

AND
The Sikh case does not depend on the numbers game. Wherein Sikh groups are trying to get various discontented groups together and petition the UN. Do you know the Sikhs that are leading the legal and peaceful process to independence? Most of them are rejects from major organizations of the 70-80s. This is often posted on the internet - - I guess you can call it in-fighting and the words like traitors of panth are used like morning coffee and donuts. Let us use one man for example - - there is a man called Gajinder Singh or may be Gajinderpal Singh, I am not sure, who went to prison many years ago on charges with a plane incident. This man's thinking can be bought from any street corner in Connaught place in New Delhi - - he is a who's who man, and so are the rest of the people in the legal and peaceful means. The cost should run around Rs. 700 - Rs 950 and You can read them like a book that they are, and that is reflected by your reference to Bad + Dal too.

Respected Gurmit Singh Ji,
Excellent! Indeed.
Sikh Nation continues to be slaves of the Hindu Majority
At least, the Kashmiris continue to cry for their Independence like the Palestine people.
Excellent indeed!
It may be a good idea to unconnect the three people. I am not knowledgable about Palestinians. By the way are Sikhs in India living like palestinians?
Bad+Dal are being referred to Mr. Badal and his gang, I suppose. You are saying that they are the people who are changing Sikh mindset to accept slavery under so called Hindu regime? Am I right? So let us simply count this gang as another set of Hindus. In this way we can dismiss them from the equation and group them together with the opposition and eliminate the title Sikh from their names. Is that a fair assessment. Or does the hatred of Badal runs even deeper, because he is one of us, therefore it hurts more. or worse you want to push the responsibility of getting independence on them because they are the so called Sikh leaders, and they are obviously not doing what you want them to do!
Respected Gurmeet Singh Ji, in a war, all opposition is considered the same, if you could just eliminate the words of Bad + Dal from your vocabulary, I am 100 % certain your thinking will be less strained, and the goal and objective clearer. Why carry additional load when you do not have to.
Now to the point of Kashmiris, you appear from your statements to be sympathetic with liberating Sikh homeland, I ask you what are the benefits of our association with them? Money, resources, contacts, access? Name one. Even if you say these things are confidential, I will accept it.
The Sikh case does not depend on the numbers game. Wherein Sikh groups are trying to get various discontented groups together and petition the UN. Do you know the Sikhs that are leading the legal and peaceful process to independence? Most of them are rejects from major organizations of the 70-80s. I was at a gurudwara one time, it was either Vermont gurdwara or Riverside gurdwara, many many years ago, may be early 2000? It was one of those propaganda days, when someone came on stage, and read a poetry written by this Mr. Gajinder Singh, written for the occasion. It is 100 % non-sense, though it is suppose to be inspirational for his adherents or pupils or peers. With such people at the helm, it is no wonder there is only digression in the movement. Adding Kashmiris to the bag of mail-loads, tell me one thing in Mr. Habib's last 10 postings or Sikhs last 10 postings are they even slightly to the point? They are all offshoot - like strikes, boycotts, mundane propaganda with sharp words against the opposition. Then there are all these stories of getting things on the record - - all PR tell-tales. You know the cost of these strikes and boycotts to serious thinkers? PROHIBITIVE! If you use these numbers and compare them to the budget needed for the so-called independence, it will make you cry. These are all wrong directions being taken, and these Kashmiris are the major culprits, that are propagating this methodology (because of their impotency), with their masters Mr. Habibs and his goons. Does Mr. Habib have advisors? I do not know!
Gurmeet Singh Ji, Singhs and Kaurs working for the legal and peaceful means have achieved a lot, and they ought to be credited. But with no time-table? Why no time table? It is the mindset, hatred, spite, that is blocking the clarity of the objective. The ability to confront hard questions, rather than drag their feet with clutches unanswered questions will make Sikhs winners. These other groups will take you round and round the block, and though they give you nothing in return, they are taking away your precious time. Rather than see results in 8 months + 7 months + 4 years 10 months and 16 days? it will take forever. If things do change it will be because of confronting the hard questions head-on. and not the strategies being talked in smoke-filled rooms.
Sincerely,

Raj Rattan Singh

Respected Sardar Rajrattan Singh Chawla Jee, Waheguru jee ka Khalsa Waheguru jee kee Fateh

Many thanks for calling explanation in respect of the following:
1. I don’t know since I have not visited India for the last over (30) years. If you have been living in Punjab-India, you may wish to recall some of the past events viz. 13th April 1978, June to November 1984, 1985 to 1995, 1997 to 2014. Current condition of the Sikhs and Sikhie is well known to all.
2. Yes, But we can’t bring any change to their facial appearance and Surname Singh. Please recall the names of all such Dealers from Master Tara Singh + Baldev Singh to Surjit Singh Barnala + Parkash Singh Badal but latest has done more damage, though I could be wrong!
3. Other factional Dals are also no better because due to their disunity, ego, selfishness, Badal has been winning elections, who now controls every field ?
4. I have no answer but remember the cause of Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib on 11th November 1675 on the plea of Kashmiri Pandits as we are told.
5. In his Book: The Sikhs in History 2010, Dr. Sangat Singh wrote at pages 359-360: “Bhindranwale’s arrest marked the beginning of the wave of terrorism. The same day, a youth on motor cycle fired in a market place at Jalandhar leaving 4 killed and 12 injured. The White Paper lists incidents of firing, bomb explosions and sabotage of rail track in almost all parts of Punjab between September 21 and October 15 – the release of Bhindranwale – including the hijacking of Indian Airlines plane to Lahore onSeptember 29, (1981) by Dal Khalsa activists led by found Panch Gajinder Singh (who had been closer to Zail Singh) to draw international attention to Bhindranwale’s arrest. [Since then perhaps Gajinder Singh continues in Pakistan. Subsequently, some Hindus had also hijacked an aeroplane, but they were then released and elected....details need to be verified, if so desired]
6. Mr. Habib Yousfazai has never met me nor I know him in person except floating Email messages through Internet but he has every right to express his views whether others agree with him or not. In the foreign countries there is freedom of speech, and no one is picked up under Section 295A. When you wrote this Email message, has Habib objected to your utterance? There are some Hindus in UK, who are also always critical of his messages but ever eager to justify the high-handedness of the Hindutva. Please have a look at the recent statements by Mohan Bhagwat, Ashok Singhal, Sudarshan Kumar, Sushma Swaraj, Amit Shah, Soami Panchnand Giri, Sakshi Maharaj, Dr. Vijay Sonkar Shastri and other RSS/BJP’s mindset since 30th January 1948.
7. In so far as I know or understand, the Sikh Authors, Intellectuals, Legal illuminators, Political+Religious+Social Leaders, etc have achieved nothing since 1945?
With Best Wishes and Charhdi Kalaa,
Gurmit Singh

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh !
Yes two Pande brothers hijacked a plane enroute to Amausi from Lucknow and persuaded indian govt to withdraw all cases against indira gandhi/ I still remember it.

Here is a link also to verify it as follows;
Bholanath and Devendra Pandey are two friends who in 1978 hijacked an Indian Airlines plane on a domestic flight. They demanded the release of opposition leader Indira Gandhi (who had been arrested by Indian parliament) and the withdrawal of all the cases against her son Sanjay Gandhi.[1] They carried only toy weapons. After keeping 132 passengers hostage for some hours, they surrendered in the presence of media.
The Indian National Congress party rewarded them with party tickets for 1980 state assembly election.[1] Both won the election and became members of the legislative assembly of Uttar Pradesh. Bhola served as a Congress MLA from 1980 to 1985 while Devendra remained a member of the house for two terms.
Devendra served the party as a general secretary of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) until recently. He is now nurturing the Sultanpur constituency in the hope of a Congress ticket in the next elections.
Bholanath unsuccessfully contested the 1999 Lok Sabha elections from Salempur as a Congress candidate.
