THATHI BHAI, Punjab (January 1, 2015)—The incident of torn posters of the movie ‘Messenger of God’ took a serious turn,when the Sikh organizations and villagers gave an ultimatum to police of Smalsar to arrest the Sirsa Cult devotee who openly fired upon Sikh devotees and used vulgar words towards them. Sikh organizations said that if the police of Smalsar will not take action till 31st December, then they will start a strike in front of the police Station from 1st January for an indefinite amount of time. Sikh organizations and villagers took this decision in a gathering of Sikhs invited in Gurdwara Sahib of village Thathi Bhai.

The Sikh leaders said that the court should ban every type of preachment of the movie ‘Messenger of God’ as well as the entry of Sirsa Cult Chief in Punjab. The leaders said that the Sikh community will be satisfied only when the cult devotee who openly fired on Sikhs will be apprehended under a murder attempt i.e. Article 307. They said that if the police will not file a case against him, then we will be helpless to take the next initiative of striking in front of the police station.
On the other side, Inspector Darshan Singh of Station Smalsar said that the riffle has been under police surveillance, but the cult devotee couldn’t be arrested till now. He said that the accused cult devotee will be arrested soon and suitable legal action will be taken against him. He said that he is trying to do his best to negotiate both sides, so that the dispute can be finished calmly.
It is worth mentioning that the police have already arrested a Sikh youth on the complaint of Sirsa Cult devotees. But the villagers have witnessed that the action was from cult devotee and the Sikh devotee was violent in defence.
