LUDHIANA, Punjab (April 1, 2015)—At the old age of 82, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa continues to grapple with the Government from 76 days for the release of Sikh detainees who have already served their life sentences. Labeling this hunger strike as a danger to peace, the Punjab Government has arrested Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa leveling false charges of 107/151. His son Bhai Ravinder Jeet Singh Gogi is also detained by the Punjab Government under the same section.
Bhai Ravinder Jeet Singh Gogi was today produced in the court third time. This time, the concerned Judge was also absent and the authorities deferred the next debate of the case to April 13. It is being experienced that the Punjab Government doesn’t want to release Bhai Gogi. That is why the dates of his case are being deferred next by next.
On the other hand, day by day worsening physique of Bapu Surat Singh Ji Khalsa makes clear the intention of Punjab Government. Infection in the body of Bapu Surat Singh Ji Khalsa has made it clear that the Government definitely wants to kill Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, but only after destroying his agitation for the release of Sikh Nation.
The so-called “largest democracy” is on its peak in assaulting the Human Rights of its citizens. It is commonly said that the citizens of a democratic country can raise their voice peacefully and express dissent against the Government. However, the Indian Government has exceeded Hitler in demonstrating its dictatorship by abusing human rights of its citizens.
