ਸੋਚੈ ਸੋਚਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੇ ਸੋਚੀ ਲਖ ਵਾਰ ॥
The person may clean and wash his physical body for millions of time, Divine Enlightenment can’t be attained without performing the righteous deeds. The 2nd word ‘Soch’ stands for SUCH, meaning purity from within, one of five noble virtues as indicated by Guru Arjun in GGS on page 379. (Satt, Santokh, Dayaa, Dharam and Such). So this is about purity from within, (soul and mind) and not just the physical outlook!
Because our lack of interest in Gurbani, we are always misguided by our teachers, preachers and traitors! Japjee step by step is journey to the divine grace as it covers entire bani of Baba Nanak in a nutshell, further elaborated by His successors in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The Sri Granth once compiled, Guru Arjun, called and addressed as Pothy Parmeshwer. Finally Guru Gobind Singh declared it as our 11th and permanent Guru. Thus Sri Guru Granth Sahib is the only our true Guru and NO other Granth as argued by some Sikh traitors! Let us be honest and loyal to Guru, Gurbani and God.
So far (such) purity from within is concern; Aassa Ki Vaar is of great inspirational! The core theme of this vaar is: "how to become a spiritual person” and clean the filth of Mind and soul. Here Guru Nanak warns us against blind follow-ship of the rituals and tricks of pundits and monks.
Guru Nanak exposed the maladies of his time, all those who strayed from the path of their religious preceptors and practiced greed, falsehood, extortion and tyranny. Baba Nanak rejected the 'Transfer-theory' of Pundits that offerings given to them, were of benefit to the ancestors of the donors. Guru also exposed any idea of pollution, being connected with the events of birth and death. These are natural events being ordained by God. Real pollution is self incurred; it comes from greed, lust, lying and slander, all of which corrupt the mind. There is nothing wrong with food and drink. Impurity does not exist in matter, but in one's ego, indifference to God and other people. Guru Nanak praised the role of woman in family life. In his era, women were neglected and held in contempt by men. Both Hindus and Muslims ill-treated their women. Guru said women, are the centre of life here on earth and in heaven. Man is born of woman; he is wedded to women. How can woman be outside the spiritual court, she who gives birth to the geniuses of this world? Talking slander, as is done of woman, is to slander one's soul."
Melodious kirtan of Aasaa Ki Vaar is inspirational, motivational and will create exceptional positive energies in your house and will sprout seeds of purity in your soul and mind, the ultimate Such Baba Nanak is asking for. Please listen to the kirtan of Aa ssa ki vaar every day upon rising from bed in the morning. Guru Arjun has instructed us to listen or read this vaar every day morning. No matter what time you are up! Listening or reading this vaar will purify your heart and your inner soul. Some of our Sikh traitors have misguided us on this issue! They claimed that this should be done before Sunrise and that’s why this vaar is recited in side the Gurdwaras all over the world first in early morning and even if there is no sangat! It is better if we do this right in our home by using CD or tap. This will certainly inculcate spiritual aspiration in you. Prof. Darshan Singh ji Khalsa has well explained this vaar in his discourse (Vyakhya) and is par excellence. It is highly lucid, intellect and a must listen. It will help in cleaning the filth of your mind.
Believe me we are hijacked from Aassa ki vaar to Sukhmani by some of our Sikh traitors such as pakhadi and akhoti sadhs and pujaree as they new that Aassa ki Vaar will expose them within community and they will loose their earning by such exposition. We have grossly ignored Aadesh of Guru Arjun and blindly follow Sukhmani as suggested by traitors such as pakhandi and akhoti.
The bani Sukhmani signifies the soothing affects on mind; it is a song of peace, a divine direction to peace and happiness, but without purity from within peace is not possible no matter how many times you read or listen? There are several Sukhmani societies, Sukhmani parivaars and groups around the world struggling for ultimate peace but truly without passing through Aassa ki vaar no one will be able to come out of superstitions or fake rituals and doubts.
In this Vaar, Guru offers a vision of God whose entire existence manifest in nature. The world is not a dream, but an impermanent reality. If people observe God's creation, they will be filled with wonder. Guru instructs his disciples to distinguish good and bad, true and false. However, the assertion of individual ego is the great obstacle to the process of moral law. So that our self-assertiveness should be replaced by self-surrender. By submission to His Divine Will, one may win the favor of the Lord. One may practice numerous austerities, but if there are no spiritual values in it none will be benefited, but simply build up haumai. Get connected with Aassa ki vaar in the morning followed by Sukhmani in the afternoon and peace will prevail.
