(ii) Earlier this week, on Tuesday, the Punjab and Haryana High Court dismissed a plea seeking transfer of the trial from the CBI court to any other CBI court in Punjab, Haryana or Union Territory of Chandigarh. The petition, filed by Ranjit Sigh’s son, Jagseer Singh, was pending under litigation since August 24.
(iii) Ranjit Singh, a member of Dera’s influential 10-member committee, was shot dead by four gunmen on July 10, 2002. According to the CBI chargesheet, Ram Rahim had thought that Ranjit Singh, a resident of Kurukshetra, was behind the circulation of an anonymous letter alleging sexual exploitation of female followers in Dera and hatched conspiracy to kill him.
(iv) Ram Rahim is serving a 20-year jail term for raping two of his women disciples. He was also awarded life imprisonment for the murder of journalist Ram Chander Chhatarpati. 3. ਡੇਰਾਵਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਬੁਰਾਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਬਦਕਿਸਮਤੀ ਤੇ ਪਿਛੜੇਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰ, ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ, ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਤੇ ਖੁਫੀਆ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ਇੱਕ ਅਨੌਖੀ ਦਾਸਤਾਨ ਤੇ ਦੁਖਾਂਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ
(i) ਡੇਰਾਵਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਬੁਰਾਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਬਦਕਿਸਮਤੀ ਤੇ ਪਿਛੜੇਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰ, ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ, ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਤੇ ਖੁਫੀਆ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ਇੱਕ ਅਨੌਖੀ ਦਾਸਤਾਨ ਤੇ ਦੁਖਾਂਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਹੱਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਚ ਕੋਟੀ ਅਦਾਲਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੌਮੀ ਮਨੱਖੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ, ਪੜਤਾਲੀਆ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਆਦਿ ਵਰਗੇ ਅਦਾਰੇ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਪੁੰਨਸਕ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਬਾਕੀ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਗੈਰ-ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਮਾਜੀ ਸੰਗਠਨ ਆਦਿ ਤਾਂ ਪਿੱਠੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਰੋਲ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਬੇਅਸਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।(ii) "ਇਹ ‘ਡੇਰਾ ਸੌਦਾ’ ਨੂੰ ਵਪਾਰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਨਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈਆਂ ਤੁਰੱਟੀਆਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਦੁਕਾਨ (ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਏ ਸ਼ਬਦ) ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਤੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਪਾਸ ਕੋਈ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਸਾਮੱਗਰੀ ਤੇ ਮਸੌਦਾ ਆਦਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਸਗੋਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅੰਦਰ ਅੱਤਵਾਦ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੋਚੀ-ਸਮਝੀ ਚਾਲ ਅਧੀਨ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਗਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਵਿੱਢਿਆ ਮਜ਼ਾਕੀਆ ਧੰਦਾ ਹੈ।"
(iii) ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਆਫੀਨਾਮਾ ਮੰਨ ਲੈਣਾ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਧਰਮ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵੱਲ ਕਦਮ ਪੁੱਟਣਾ ਇੱਕ ਹਾਸੋਹੀਣੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੀ ਕਹੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮੁਆਫੀਨਾਮੇ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਅਣਉਚਿਤ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਡੇਰਾਵਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।“ ਮਿਤੀ: 28 ਮਈ 2007
