The video of the emotional sibling reunion is winning hearts on social media. Mohammad Siqqique was an infant when India was partitioned in 1947. His family got split. His elder brother Habib alias Shela grew on the Indian side of the Partition line. Now 74 years later, the Kartarpur Corridor that connects Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan to India has reunited the brothers.
A video of an emotional sibling reunion is winning hearts on social media. Reports say Siddique lives in Pakistan’s Faislabad. Shela is his elder brother and lives in the Indian side of Punjab.
The video shows the brothers crying in one-another’s arms with a crowd watching this emotional reunion. They talk about breaking bread together as they walk off.
Reports quoted the brothers thanking the governments of the two countries for opening the Kartarpur Corridor facilitating a visa-free travel from India to Pakistan up to Kartapur, about five kilometres from the border.
