Sajjan Kumar Acquitall Leads to Major Protests across Delhi and other parts of India - Thousands protest against growing injustices against Sikh community
NEW DELHI (May 2, 2013)–
The acquittal of Sajjan Kumar triggered a massive protest by Sikhs in parts of Delhi, Punjab and Jammu. Thousands of Sikhs gathered in Tilak Nagar area of West Delhi and protested against the court’s verdict. The protest was held under the banner of SAD (Delhi).  
The protesters expressed their disapproval by raising slogans and banners against the authorities.
The protesters blocked the traffic on Najafgarh road, Tilak Nagar and Subash Nagar for two and a half hours resulting in heavy traffic jams. They forced the closure of Dwarka Noida Metro in Subash Nagar metro station disrupting the daily rail traffic. The leaders of Shriomani Akali Dal Delhi Manjit Singh, Manjinder singh, Onkar singh and Kuldeep singh have strictly warned the government that until a rightful decision is not given in case of Sajjan Kumar, such protests would continue. They said that the verdict of the court is s a huge setback for the democracy of India and grave injustice to the Sikhs who have been fighting for the last 29 years.
Manjit Singh GK said that pogroms of 1984 were an unforgettable happening and a memorial would soon be constructed in Delhi’s Gurudwara  Rakab Ganj or Bangla Sahib after the approval of General House of Delhi Committee.

     Shahid Udham Singh Nagar :-  Protesters , including Women start from Gurdwara Siri Guru Singh Sabha , Gole-market , via Prince Hotel to Main Market to Bhagat Singh Chowk – Main Market to Bata Chowk with Efigy of justice and Anty-Slogans of the varios Political parties , Culprits and Govt, agencies . At bata Chowk put the effigy to Fire . Speaker Demand . Imigiate justice , other-wise these protests will continue .
     Kashipur ; (May 2, 2013 Protest march was also organized at Kashi-Pur.
