Canadian PM Justin Trudeau pays obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today paid obeisance at the holiest Sikh shrine Sri Harmandir Sahib along with his wife Sophie and two kids namely son Xavie (2-R) and daughter Ella-Grace. Absence of his 3 years old younger son Hadrien Trudeau, who has stolen all the limelight of Justin Trudeau’s visit to India, was noticed during this visit despite of his arrival into Amritsar.  
Justin Trudeau offered ‘Karah Prasad’ at the counter in front of sanctum sanctorum’s entrance gate before paying obeisance inside the sanctum sanctorum. Trudeau and his family were honoured with ‘Siropao’ (robe of honour) by the on duty Granthi Singhs. After paying obeisance inside the sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib, Trudeau routed towards Guru Ram Dass Langar where he and his family performed sewa (volunteer service) of kneading flour and rolling chapatis.

“What an honour to be so well received at such a beautiful, meaningful place. We are filled with grace and humility” Justin Trudeau wrote in the visitor book kept in Information Office of the holiest Sikh shrine.

Justin Trudeau was specially honoured with a gold model of Sri Harmandir Sahib, a Sri Sahib and a set of books by the SGPC President Gobind Singh Longowal, DSGMC President Manjit Singh GK and SAD President Sukhbir Badal.
