This rumor is being considered as a reality by the common masses in current scenario as the image of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) has been totally tarnished among Sikh masses due to the revelations made by the Justice Ranjit Singh Commission in its report.
Due to the hardcore efforts being made by the SAD (Badal) to retain its lost glory among Sikh masses, this rumor is being believed easily by the Sikh masses as an SAD’s attempt to save its existence.
Furthermore, the recent meeting between Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana and the SGPC appointed Takht Jathedars in Patiala jail on August 20 and then the call for an emergency meeting of the SGPC’s executive committee on August 24 (now postponed to August 25) is backing the speculations about the appointment of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana as an Akal Takht Jathedar.
However, Bhai Rajoana’s foster sister Bibi Kamaldeep Kaur has said that there is no reality in these speculations and these news are being spread under a highly deliberated policy.
Bibi Kamaldeep Kaur Rajoana has said that when Giani Gurbachan Singh and Jathedar Balwant Singh Nandgarh had made such offers to Bhai Rajoana in 2012, then Bhai Rajoana had said that he won’t use such a temporal Sikh post to get rid of his punishment. She added that Bhai Rajoana is adamant on his stance today also and is fully committed to Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
