Uttarakhand’s CM TS Rawat Pays Obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib

20 Jan 2019 07:38 AM PSTCHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Uttarakhand’s CM Sri Trivendra Singh Rawat today paid obeisance at the holiest Sikh shrine Sri Harmandir Sahib. He also did volunteer service of washing utensils in the world’s largest community kitchen beside partaking “langar” there.
   Interacting with media on this occasion, Rawat said that his long standing wish of paying obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib has turned into reality today. “I have come here as a common devotee along with my accomplices and I thank the Sikh community for giving me a warm welcome” he added.
On raking up the issue of Gurdwara Gian Godri Sahib, Rawat ensured that the issue of Gurdwara Gian Godri Sahib will be sorted out soon with the consent of the Sikh community.
Rawat was honored with “Siropao” (robe of honor), portrait of Sri Harmandir Sahib, model of Sri Harmandir Sahib and a set of religious books at the Information Centre by the SGPC officials.
