CHANDIGARH, Punjab—
Bhai Sukhraj Singh, who is the son of Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh, today moved a plea in the Faridkot Court demanding quashing of anticipatory bail pleas of killer cops SP Bikramjit Singh and Inspector Pardeep Singh. Notably, the duo killer cops had moved bail pleas before the Faridkot Court on January 28 following the arrest of Ex-SSP Charanjit Sharma on January 27.
Sharing the development with media, Bhai Sukhraj Singh informed that he has also sought the immediate arrest of another killer cop Amarjit Singh in the petition moved before the Faridkot Court. “My petition as well as the petitions of killer cops will be taken up for hearing tomorrow by the Faridkot Court,” he added while expressing satisfaction over the arrest of Charanjit Sharma by the SIT.
Although all these killer cops indicted in the FIR registered in the Bajakhana police station were asked to appear before the SIT on January 29 but none of them appeared.
It may be recalled here that two Sikh youths namely Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Shaheed Bhai Gurjit Singh Nikke Sarawan had attained martyrdom in an unprovoked firing opened by the Punjab police cops on peacefully protesting Sikhs at Behbal Klan on October 14, 2015.
Initially, an FIR in this concern was registered against unknown police cops, but later the names of Ex-SSP Moga Charanjit Sharma, Ex-SP (D) Fazilka Bikramjit Singh, Bajakhana’s Ex-SHO Inspector Pardeep Singh and Sub-Inspector Amarjit Singh was included in the FIR on the recommendations of Justice Ranjit Singh Commission last year.
