Behbal Klan Tragedy: Way Paved for Arresting Killer Cops With Rejection of Anticipatory Bail Pleas
Posted: 02 Feb 2019 04:14 AM PSTCHANDIGARH, Punjab—A Faridkot based Court of District and Sessions Judge Harpal Singh has rejected the pleas of three killer police cops seeking anticipatory bail in the Behbal Klan tragedy case. Yesterday, the Court had reserved its verdict on the pleas moved by the killer cops SP Bikramjit Singh, Inspector Pardeep Singh and Sub-Inspector Amarjit Singh seeking anticipatory bails.
With the rejection of these anticipatory bail pleas, the SIT can now take these killer Police cops into custody as per the need to crack the police firing cases.
It may be recalled here that the trio killer cops had moved bail pleas before the Faridkot Court on January 28 following the arrest of Ex-SSP Charanjit Sharma on January 27.
All of these police cops were booked in an FIR registered at the Bajakhana police station for opening an unprovoked firing on peacefully protesting Sikhs at Behbal Klan in which two Sikh youths were martyred and several others were left injured.
