Verdict on Bail Pleas of Killer Cops Today; Ex-SP Bikramjit Singh Surrenders Passport

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Faridkot Court on February 1 reserved its verdict on the pleas moved by the  killer cops SP Bikramjit Singh, Inspector Pardeep Singh  and Sub-Inspector Amarjit Singh seeking anticipatory bails. The court of District and Sessions Judge will address its verdict today.
Notably, the trio killer cops had moved bail pleas before the Faridkot Court on January 28 following the arrest of Ex-SSP Charanjit Sharma on January 27.
During the hearing, the former SP Bikramjit Singh submitted his passport before the Court and told the Court that he doesn’t have any plan to flee from India.
It is learnt that the SIT and public prosecutor strongly opposed the bail pleas of the trio killer cops.
It may be recalled here that Bhai Sukhraj Singh, who is the son of Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh, had also moved a plea in the Faridkot Court on January 29 demanding quashing of anticipatory bail pleas of these killer cops.
