413th Martyrdom Anniversary in Pakistan: SGPC Seeks Passports from Sikh Aspirants

17 Mar 2019 07:34 AM PDTCHANDIGARH, Punjab—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has appealed the Sikhs to deposit their passports by March 25 who are aspirant of marking the 413th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji and the 180th death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh at Lahore (Pakistan)  in June this year. Notably, the Pakistan High Commission grants visa to Sikh devotees every year to mark their historic days at the historic Sikh shrines situated in Pakistan.
In a press note shared with Sikh24, SGPC secretary Mohinder Singh Aahli informed that the interested Sikh devotees will have to submit their passports along with a recommendation letter from the SGPC member of their corresponding constituency and an identity proof (Aadhar Card or Voter Card) at the SGPC’s headquarters in Amritsar Sahib.
