CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Taking strong notice of printing Gurbani verses and ੴ on clothes, hats, bags, footwear and mobile covers, the apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has sought strict action against the California based online merchandise for hurting Sikh sentiments.
SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal  has shot a letter to the Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta in this concern and has demanded indictment of website owners under section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code.
Longowal has said that some miscreants deliberately do such activities to hurt Sikh sentiments and the government needs to become strict against such miscreants.
Meanwhile, SGPC secretary Manjit Singh Bath has informed that copies of the letter have been also sent to the IGP (Cyber Crime) and Police Commissioner of Amritsar.
