BREAKING: Killer Cop Charanjit Sharma Gets Bail
Posted: 29 May 2019 08:41 AM PDTCHANDIGARH, Punjab—Latest developments reveal that the Punjab & Haryana High Court has today granted bail to the former Moga SSP Charanjit Sharma till July 2. Notably, Charanjit Sharma is facing double murder charges in Behbal Klan firing case and attempt to murder charges in Kotkapura firing case.
His plea seeking bail was taken up for hearing by the High Court on May 28 in which his lawyer had said that Sharma was a heart patient and he has to undergo surgery for stunts so he should be granted bail for treatment.
In reaction to this, the Public Prosecutor Additional Solicitor General Gaurav Dhuriwala had strongly opposed the Sharma’s bail plea and had said that he was facing double murder charges, so Sharma should not be given bail.
He had also said that Charanjit Sharma was getting regular health checkups in judicial custody and he could be given treatment for his heart problem in Patiala jail also, if needed.
It may be recalled here that the Ex-SSP Moga Charanjit Sharma was arrested from his house on January 27 when he was in an attempt to flee abroad. He had even tried to run from his home during the raid, but the Police cops had nabbed him.
