UN’s secretary general Antonio Guterres has clearly asked the Indian and Pakistan governments to refrain from taking steps that could affect the status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Guterres reportedly seemed concerned over reports of restrictions on India occupied Kashmir and warned that such actions could exacerbate the human rights situation in the region.
It may be recalled here that the BJP led saffron Indian government had snatched the special status of J&K by scrapping the Article 370 of Indian constitution on August 5. The BJP government has imposed this dictatorial order on Kashmiri masses by imposing curfew in the state.
