Producer of movie ‘Ishq My Religion’ apologizes for using photo of Sri Harmandir Sahib on movie’s poster
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 08:00 AM PDTCHANDIGARH, Punjab—After observing a sharp outrage among Sikh masses for using Sri Harmandir Sahib’s photo on the poster of an upcoming movie named ‘Ishq My Religion’, the producer of this movie Gurdeep Dhillon has tendered an apology. Gurdeep Dhillon has said that he didn’t intentionally do it, but he apologizes for this mistake.
It may be recalled here that the apex Sikh body SGPC had lodged a written complaint to the Amritsar Police Commissioner seeking action against the producers of this movie.
   SGPC secretary Manjit Singh Bath informed that Gurdeep Dhillon submitted a written apology to the SGPC on August 31 by personally visiting the SGPC headquarters. “Gurdeep Dhillon has informed that all the objectionable posters have been removed and a new poster has been released,” he added.
