Dal Khalsa hails Pakistan’s announcement of launching on-arrival and multiple entry visa facility for Sikhs
Posted: 04 Sep 2019 08:40 PM PDTCHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Dal Khalsa has warmly welcomed Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s move to issue multiple and on-arrival visas to Sikh pilgrims coming from India and other countries. Calling it a goodwill gesture towards Sikh community, Dal Khalsa Spokesman Kanwar Pal Singh said despite tension with India, Pakistan is committed to observe 550th Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Sahib with great enthusiasm at grand level.
“Pakistan was sensitive towards Sikh religious sentiments notwithstanding bitter relations with India after New Delhi strip J&K of its autonomous status,” said he.
  He further said that the Governor of Pakistan’s Punjab has handled the issue of Sikh girl very sensitively and rightly. 
   Reacting to Pakistan’s condition put forth in Wednesday’s talks with India to charge 20 US dollars from every pilgrim going to Kartarpur Sahib via corridor, the organization raised strong objection to it as it appears to pilgrimage tax, which is against the basic tenets of Sikhism. It urged Pakistan government to withdraw the condition.
