He proposed the apex Sikh body to celebrate the 550th birth anniversary of first Sikh master in collaboration with Punjab government.
It is learnt that the duo sides have decided to hold a meeting in upcoming days to take a final decision about collaboratively celebrating this historic day in Sultanpur Lodhi.
It is pertinent to note here that the Shiromani Akali Dal and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee had accused the Punjab government of not cooperating to celebrate the 550th birthday and bringing hindrances in the way of collaboratively celebrating the eve.
Addressing the media after this meeting, the duo sides said that it would be better to ignore the past and emphasize on preaching the eternal message of Sri Guru Nanak Ji.
Senior Akali leader Jathedar Tota Singh, Bibi Jagir Kaur and Baba Nihal Singh Harian Welan wale were also present on this occasion.
