Today on FB i read about this Incident once again after many years and it brought back all the memories when this had happened and Sikhs had been made proud --
I think it was in 1998 or 1999. In city of
This Regiment had all the Sikh Rangroots ( new- recruits) in it. Singhs were doing Chabeel-Sewa outside Gurudwara and some Singhs were making Parshade in Langar.
A Hindu Army Officer came and had chabeel and came inside Gurudwara in Langar where Singhs were making Parshade on Tavi ( large Iron plate used to make parshade)
He asked what day is today ? Singhs replied it is Shaheedi Divas of Guru Arjan Sahib Ji Maharaj.
Officer asked Who was He ? A Singh explained to him about Maharaj's Shaheedi and how Guruji sat calmly on Burning Hot Iron Plate.
Office said -- IMPOSSIBLE. This cannot happen. How can a human being sit on Hot Plate and stay calm ?
Listening to this -- One Singh who was doing Parshade di Sewa and was reciting Sukhmani Sahib got up and sat on ''Tavi'' on which Parshade were being made.
He sat there on tavi, smiled and said '' Guruji sat like this Officer''.
Hindu officer screamed and said get him down get him down. Singh was taken off the Tavi. His clothes,body parts had been burned but he was smiling.
He said officer, Never doubt Our Guru in front of a Sikh. His spirit still pervades in us.
Our Guru can do anything.
