NEW DELHI (January 30, 2014)—For historical Gurdwaras of Delhi to complete remodels, known as karsewa, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s president Manjit Singh G.K. gave Baba Bachan Singh of the Karsewa Society, a cheque of  ₹12.5 million, 3.496Kgs gold and almost 11Kgs silver decoration pieces (Chawar), a flower pot, and a chhatar (sort of umbrella) which the congregation had offered at Gurdwara Sahibs at different times and gave assurance that in ongoing volunteer work, the committee will not take shortcuts. According to market price, the gold and silver given for karsewa approximates ₹10.01 million.
At Gurdwara Motibagh Sahib, Gurdwara Seesganj Sahib, and Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, speaking about the constructing of a car park, Langar hall, show house, multipurpose hall, and Darbar hall and their detailing, for the convenience of sangat, Manjit Singh G.K. said that the current Delhi committee has been successful by being responsible and answerable to stop contractships in volunteer service as compared to the old committee. At the same time, big decisions are taken by a congregation-elected  administration through the Antric Board.
