The analysis and interpretations provided by S. Harjinder Singh Dilgeer, on the true spellings of the names of of Sikh Guru Sahibs is excellent and the all Sikh Panth must adopt this to correct the mistakes made by ignorant and unscrupulous persons (Sikhs or Non-Sikhs) in the past to perpetuate wrong notions and 'reets' . We must pay heed to this most important matter to the purity of our daily vocabulary.
Similarly its wrong for Sikhs to translate "Gurdwara" as Sikh temple, because 'temple' has a connotation of statue worship, which is forbidden strictly by our Guru Sahibs.
Translating "Amrit" as 'baptism, is absolutely a wrong translation, and must be stopped. The 'baptisn' is Catholic term to describe the ritual of their priests to purify the infant, because they believe that a child is sinful when born.Therefore, the priest recite verses from Bible and put his water soaked hand on the child's head.  Therefore, partaking of Amrit and adopting keeping the articles of Sikh faith is not 'baptism'. There is no English or French translations of the term 'Amrit.,and it must be used as such (AMRIT) and explained - not translated.
While writing some common Punjabi words, Sikhs must use the spellings that are present in Guru Granth Sahib Ji For example : The words " FATEH" occurs ONLY ONCE at page 258, line 5: Gauree M:5 Fahai Katai Mittai Gavan, Feteh Bhaee Man(i) Jeet II Nanak Gur tai Thit Paee Firan Mitai Nit Neet II 1 II Here Fateh is written with siharee to Tata and not Haha as perpetuated by SGPC and many Hindu oriented so called Sikhs. we must understand that Ram Rai changed one word "Musalmaam" to "Baimaan" and was ordered to be excommunicated. Its not appropriate for Sikhs to change words and self made interpretations of Gurbani feed their EGOS. The words must be written and pronounced as per Gurbani an Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Even the pronunciation of " Ik O kaar (open Oorrha) " is to be pronounced as it is, as there is no 'm'; 'n' or bindi or tipi - there is simply open Oorrha indicating 'Infinity' to say that ONE only is infinite ( endless, limitless, never ending, Anhad Aakaars. "Gurbani explains: Aapee Nai Aap(i) Sajeeo Apee Nai Rachio Nao, Duee Kudrat Saj Kai Kar Aasan Ditho Chao...."  He abides in His Infinite creation in constant motion. We know there are many verses in Gurbani with Onkaar and Ankaar etc but they have there own meanings used by the Brahmans. Guru Sahib simply mentioned those and many others like Ram, Brahma, Visun,Mahes etc, etc to instruct the then existing Hindu world, but these words have completely different meanings and are different from the Eternal Supreme Reality that has no name but abides in in all names. Actually the Word " NAAM is synonym with HUKAM, BHANNA, RAZA, because He is KARAN & KAARAN. There are billions of names around, but HE is simply WONDROUS SUPREME!
Even the word "sri" or "Sree" has been converted to "Shiri or "Shree" when there is no such word in Guru Granth Sahib with "SH" word. Even there are no words spelled with dot in the foot of Sasa,Khakha. Gaga, Jaja, Fafa, And also there is no use of " ADHAK" anywhere in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Still we find these alphabets and "Adhak" used profusely in 'Bachatar' Natak' indicating that this is of later additions and more recent introductions. At what point Sikhs changed "Painte Akhree" to Challee Akhree, and introduced "Adhak", when Guru Nanak Sahib used many Farsee words in Gurbani without the use of dots in the foot of words and the use of Adhak??? Khalsa Panth must ponder on these matters and adopt the appropriate usage of Gurbani without distortions in spellings, pronunciations,and meanings.
I am not an expert in language or Gurbani, but simply have some of these questions about distortions, and the irresponsible decisions of SGPC to please the so called Sant Samaj and dera walas to pronounce an awkward decision on "Raag Mala to be printed but not necessarily read !!!!!!!!!!!!!!. If Sikhs are not clear about their ONLY SCRIPTURES- Guru Granth Sahib, what they can understand themselves and also tell others??? There is need for adopting accuracy and discard the distortions that have crept in knowingly or unknowingly.
